  1. I have been watching this forum for a year now. You seem like a very knowledgeable individual so I thought I'd ask you. Can you recommend a good guide for Table Rock, who can show me how to fish this lake in the upper portion towards Cape Fair?  I have a boat and have fished the area south of Cape Fair towards the main lake. I would like to not only catch fish but learn how to read the lake from a guide that can help me out. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks for all your input on this site it is very informative for us fisherman.

  2. I was there at Fellows on Sunday and the water was 43-44. I threw chatterbait, lipless, and worm in 22-30 FTW. Nothing. I think it is still too cold for Bass to turn on anyway. Just fished from noon to 4.
  3. I have been skunked on Fellows several times. Last year I had very little success finding and catching fish on Fellows. Typically I Bass fish looking for the bite anywhere on the lake. I could use a little schooling on Fellows and where on the lake the fish congregate. If you have a few specific locations on that lake as to where I would do better than I have, suggestions would be appreciated. When you fish for walleye do you troll?
  4. I like to launch from Cape Fair, how far up river did you go to have this success? I usually go south towards the main lake looking for active sites.
  5. Went out from CC greenfield ramp Saturday and had no luck. Just very few fish no the graph. Beautiful day though. Love the water..
  6. The Garmin had the largest mass of fish showing at 12-18 FOW. The amount of bait was amazing but soo many fish just could not get them to bite lures of any sort. Started with lipless crank, went to deep diver crank, went to Keitech with flashy swimmer, and not a hit. Dropped a crawler down and 1 minute later a 1.4 lb LM. I tried a lot of cranking, but ended up catching on a drop shot.
  7. Fished the mouth to Piney Creek on Tuesday and had success with Crawlers. Lots of fish breaking the surface chasing bait. I was surrounded for 3 hours but only managed two keepers (LM&SB).
  8. There are lots of catfish in Springfield lake. Try hot dogs (yes the ones with cheese work really well). I have caught many catfish from the shore at the dam area.
  9. I was out there last Sunday in Piney creek (launch from Cape Fair) the fish were breaking surface chasing shad all around the Boat. I could swear that they were Muskies. The fish were long (maybe Walleye) dorsal in the mid back. I threw top water at them without a taker, but two short hits and the Keitech with a flashy spinner. What was I seeing breaking the surface all around? Were these Bass? This is my first year fishing here on table rock. I have managed to snare a few bass in 5 trips to the lake. None what I would call true Keepers. Anyone have an idea what I was seeing there?
  10. If you have a Garmin with the card slot you can use the Homeport software to edit the way points and the GPS coordinates. I have set way points on my computer and gone to them on the water. Your editing is so much easier on your computer than on the unit itself. I have a Garmin 53cv and love the software to mark and edit way points.
  11. Cape Fair launch ramp is probably your best shot for Table Rock lake. Stockton a little farther drive but may be worth the extra drive for a lake that is a little less pressured than table rock.
  12. Thank you for the location. I have fished that cove. I think its one of the better structures on the lake being so close to very deep water. I'll let you know how I do going tomorrow. last outing was only one fish one bite...
  13. I finally got to fish Fellows again after waiting for some weather to clear. I am not seeing near as many fish on the electronics as I did the end of last summer. They are still hiding in 15-20 Feet of water. I was successful on the steep edges fishing with the old NED rig. Also had a nice drop shot bite with the Senko. Not much as far as going up the creeks the fish are still holding out in deeper water. Good luck to those that have the patience to fish the windy main points. I ended up with three large mouth for the day.
