Mill was shut down in 2010 due to EPA regulations. Paper Mill Lake/Bussey Brakes was then donated it to Louisianna Parks and Wildlife. It was developed into a Wildlife Management area in 2012. Stocked with Shad, Crappies, Red-Ear, Bluegills and Florida Strain Bass. You could not fish there until 2020 or 2021. And yes it does have Bowfin in it. There are also Alligators in there. They do not bother me because I fish with them in Texas also. Also have some BIG Cottonmouths. They did drain it to some extent and did some contour changes, but it is still a shallow lake.

March 1st thru the 7th. We are going to be fishing a Trophy Lake. Well, I will be gone 1st through the 7th. I may as well let the Cat Out Of The Bag. The Lake is Bussey Brakes. They are catching the heck out of some really nice Crappies and Bass right now. You can go to bussy brakes lunker facebook page and see what is being caught if you care to. They also have a fish I am not familiar with. It is a Bowfin that are suppose to be some real fighters. I have been told by a friend they are also Grennell Cats. I will have pictures after I get back because, I am not taking my computer along and have a dumb phone.

Yes it is what is thought to be a Short Shaft and the measurement is 16''from the mount to the cavitation plate. How are the 9.9 Suzuki's? Are they trouble free to some extent?, What do I need to look for when I am there looking at this purchase?

I believe, I have found a 2022 Suzuki 9.9, electric and pull start, with less than 10 hours on it. At a decent price. He needed/wanted and bought a bigger motor for his 16ft V-bottom. That is the reason he is selling it. I have to go to Tennessee for it, but he lives about 10 miles from my sister. So I will visit her for a couple days also. Maybe Wrench can answer these for me. How are the 9.9 Suzuki's? Are they trouble free to some extent?, What do I need to look for when I am there? And will this work, My transom on this Johnboat is 15''. From where the motor rest on the transom to the cavitation plate it is 16'' and from where the motor rest on the transom, to the center of the prop is 20'' Thanks

Like the heading says. I am looking for a 9.9 HP, tiller short shaft or under motor for a john boat. I plan on fishing some trolling motor only or 9.9 hp limit lakes this year. So what do you have and want to sell? Thanks

In Texas when we catch whites, hybrid or striper, and fry up. We dip them in yellow mustard, shake off most, then the batter, then fry them. You do not taste the mustard. But it does take out a lot of the fishy out. The mustard is just a binder for your batter. kind of like using mustard on ribs or brisket. Try it you will like it I am sure. I never, I repeat Never use it on Crappie or Bluegills

So how is the Highway as far as construction road condition-smooth, rough bumpy, etc.

How is this road from Poplar Bluff, MO to Little Rock, AR. Going to be making a trip to Bussey Brake Lake and this looks to be the best route. What is the speed limit on 57 also. Thanks
