John,
I had the same problem with my Maxxum 80. Turns out that the foot switch is a magnetic switch and the contact got pushed down in the sleeve to where when the foot switch was pressed it was not making contact. If you take off the round foot switch plate you will see the contact down in the sleeve, if you touch it with a metal phillips blade and it engages the motor you will know is not making proper contact. You have to take it apart and push that contact back further up into the sleeve. It was a 5 minute job and mine is back to good.

Hillbilly,
We basically started on the Jake Creek side of Indian point and hit every main lake point and major secondary point on the north shore all the way back to Point 5. We found that the majority of the fish were not on the point, but between 50 and 100 yards into the cove. We sat anywhere between 25 and 35 feet of water and threw fish dr's on a shakey head.
darn I love the Rock!

Carl and Sue were great hosts. We went ahead and booked our trip back there for last week of Apr. 2012. I am already getting anxious.
The guys throwing spinnerbaits were using white or silver, they were behind the bushes and right up on the bank, the fish they were taking were mostly Kentuckies with some big (5+) largemouths and a handful of smallmouths. The guys throwing the finese worms deep were catching smallmouth almost exclusivly.
I didnt have much luck topwater, but I also didnt try too hard.
I am debating making the three hour drive to fish Pomme this weekend. Anyone have any words of advice??? Was anyone out this weekend? I will be fishing for bass and would sure appreciate any info.
Thanks
Chris
Trav,
Dont feel alone, I fished about 8 hours this weekend and touched 1 fish. After fishing jigs for 5 hours with nothing, I picked up a spinnerbait and on the third cast hit a 3.5, I figured "here we go" but didnt get another the rest of the weekend.

Trav,
I have fished grubs a couple times at Table Rock mostly for Smallmouth and Spots, but never tried it at Pomme, I dont know why. Are you typically scrubbing the bottom or counting down to a depth you have graphed fish at? I assume color selection is based on water color?
Thanks
Chris
I got to fish Sat Sun and Monday this weekend. We had 30+ both Sat and Sunday mostly on the jig, very shallow on timber. The 20+ mph winds kept us prety much in the coves. Picked up a few crankbait and buzzbait fish, but the goto was the jig. Monday was a bit tougher with the total closer to 20. With as much wind as we had I was sure the spinnerbait bite would start, but had absolutly no luck. The nice thing is that now half of the fish are keepers and nearly a forth of the fish caught go over 15".
Trav,
Interesting thought. You are truely ate up with this hobby, I love it.
You may wanna check with theh corp before doing this. Even though you are just "moving" the tires, they could consider it dumping when you add them to your reef.

I snagged a spinnerbait on the back wheel of a small bike. I was really hoping I would be able to reclaim several hundred dollars of lures that I have lost over the last few years but no luck yet.
