  1. Soaking in milk for 30 minutes makes a big difference in taste.
  2. Inexperienced trout fisherman here. Due to chemo treatments my fishing has been very limited and I was thinking of going down to the public docks by the landing and trying my luck. Is it legal to use Cicadas as bait. I have plenty in my back yard. Is 4lb test ok? Any other useful tips? Thanks in advance for the info.
  3. K-Dock Area. Lives in Kirbyville.
  4. Thanks to Jesse of Tri-Lakes Guide Service for another Super Fun Fishing Trip on Beautiful Bull Shoals lake. If your looking to learn an unique way to consistently catching slab Crappie and / or big Walleye book a trip with Jesse.
  5. " Pat and I had a talk about maybe reconnecting with her. That retreat started a different path in our lives and has turned us into what we are today. " I would recommend that you try reconnecting sooner than later. I'm sure it would be good for all of you. I enjoyed reading your heart warming short story.
  6. Years ago, while fishing for salmon in the St. Joe river in southeast Michigan we had a 25 lb King Salmon jump in the boat. Needless to say the next few minutes were quite interesting.
  7. I"m not real sure how to navigate around in this forum, other to read and make posts. I received a pm thru my email account when I posted the reply I got an error message that the email could not be delivered. Now what do I do?

  11. Thanks for the advice but that being said those are exactly the reasons we centered our home search in Taney not Stone County. I would love to figure out the Bull but first have to figure out how a couple old people get the Alumacraft and the two of us, in and out of the water. The reason for the post was to get some ideas so we could get the boat on the water and out of the garage. Mr. Babler or Mr. Loving can expect a phone call in the near future.
  12. OK we moved down here to Kirbyville 18 months ago and we're hoping to get the walleye figured out on Bull Shoals. Due to the accessibility of courtesy docks or lack thereof that hasn't worked out. Fished some last fall up at Stockton, nice lake, 2+hour drive and wind is definitely a factor. I am wanting to try the James River arm of Table Rock and possibly the Kings River arm. Just looking for a little direction for where to start such as which public boat ramp with dock to put in at and maybe a general area to start. I am willing to put in the time to try and figure it out but I thought maybe I could get some tips to where to start at. Thanks in advance.
  13. Try cutting out the lateral vein and soaking in milk for 30 minutes prior to cooking.
