i am guessing that many of those bringing in bass in the derbies right now might be brush pile fishing, especially those that seem to be getting them consistently. i do not know where the first brush pile is and have never been a brush pile fisherman. but, with the lack of trees, good brush piles can now become good places to be fishing. you do need them to be in the right depth of water for current circumstances though. bo

what a difference one day makes. went back and bites were very hard to come by. just had four keepers, and all of them came on a 1/2 jig. depth of bites was 15 to 18 ft. got home ahead of the storm though. bo

hahaha, it is the same lake level as the rest of the lake. about 919. the water is pretty tinted. i would say 2 to three feet back in the coves, and the main lake a bit clearer, but not all that much. bo

got out for a bit and put in at H around 7:30 p.m.. caught a 4 lber. right off the bat, and ended up with 10 keepers. had a couple other 3's, and most were better than just keepers. pattern was to stay in the back half of coves. depth of most bites, around 15 feet. best producing setup was a senko rigged on a 3/16 NuJig with a 3/16 bullet weight on the line. i did catch two of the keeps on a 1/2 Elite with brown and blue skirt and blue trailer. the bass were scattered and not really bunched up. just a bite where you happened to get one. bo

you might have a different view point when you have been almost killed by one of the idiots. bo

sounds like you kept busy, and caught them several ways. bo

the real scary part is these people are operating a boat on the water. might as well turn about any ten year old loose on the highway in a car. bo

true to some extent champ, but hardly any of the resorts, at least in this area ever are full of out of state people with fishing boats, but they used to be. table rock still has fishing pressure for sure, but is more from all of the retired people that are now here. take a look at just about any boat ramp and at any day of the week, there are plenty of trailers. one of my retired buddies that live in emarald beach will always be making the comment when going during the work week , "doesn't anybody work anymore"? i have friends strung around different locations in the country, and some used to come to table rock every year to fish, but they do not any longer, basically, because the fishing here is not anything like it used to be, and especially after the fish kill. bo

whether true or not, i remember when table rock was at the top of the list, and we had lots of fisherman from all over the country come visit. why is that important?? because it adds revenue to the local economy. people such as bill babler benefit from people wanting to come visit the lake to fish. they spend money. what has been bad also from a fishing aspect is that branson has turned table rock into a pleasure boat lake more so than a fishing lake. even big cedar caters more to pleasure boaters than fishing. sure would be nice to see all the resorts full of fisherman like they used to be. bo

if you ever watch mlf, hardly any 12 inch bass weigh 1 lb. they are always less. was just looking at the estimated weights on the chart, which makes no difference if everyone is going by the same chart. bo

champ, walleye are stocked because the lake did not have any to speak of. wish they do some bass stocking also, but the point is catch and release for walleye might be more valuable to the walleye population by comparison to bass. the other point, is at some point, if everyone did not keep any bass, they would get out of balance, and all you would have is a lake full of little ones. bo

those are some really nice spots. great day of fishing!! bo

definitely a pair of dandies!! still goes with what i have been saying since april. i am just worried that with the water conditions we have now, and the water levels will be dropping again that those that have not spawned might not do it this year. if they do get it done this moon, i would be looking for them at deeper depths. again, a great job!!! bo
-
not right after spawning, and when they start getting an egg sack back, it is not fully developed for quite a few months. bo
-
no need in quitting the drop shot. those deep bass will still be there. bo

quill, stocked or not, the point is if the walleye are released just as most everyone wants done with bass, then the walleye population would increase dramatically in a shorter period of time. same can be said for crappie. moderation by everyone, on all species, can go a long way. bo
-
might make for some great daytime fishing. bo
-
5bites, i remember when the eagle rock area and on up had the best crappie fishing on the entire lake. even after beaver was constructed, it was still that way, but when they started stocking trout below beaver, and they let all the cold water out to keep them alive, the crappie and bass population has been in a nose dive ever since. here is a prime situation where stocking could really benefit the fishery of the area. and, just to add to the thread, i think i have already stated before that it sure would not hurt to not keep all your crappie and walleye. moderation in everything is good. bo

darn nice brownies. bo

a very good outing. bo

depending on just when you are coming will depend on where and what you need to be fishing. jigs and worms work great at night, and sometimes there can be a spinner bait bite going also. this has been a weird year, and would be very hard to predict what the bass will be doing in a month. me personally feel that many bass have not spawned yet, and are just now showing up in areas that i would expect them to spawn. also, bites are becoming more normal for bass around nests in that many bites are not felt other than pressure, and moving off. bo

somewhere on the lake hammertime, lol. we were not fighting boats and would like to keep it that way, hahaha. i will say there were tons of the bowfisherman swarming around, but no fishing boats. people might need to talk to some of those boys sometimes, and learn something. bo

got out for a bit of bassin', and had a pretty good outing. did really well on a big worm before dark. had it rigged on a 3/16 head with a 1/8 slip sinker. after dark it was a mixture of 1/2 jig, a beaver and a senko both rigged on a 1/4 head. had several in the 3lb. range, and linda had pics on her phone, but she dropped in in the lake, and i had warned her on several occasions about using it for a light. she does pay attention to my fishing instructions, but did not listen about the phone, and sure enough it went ploop. i asked her if the ringer was on, we could call it, lol. bites were from dead on the bank to 15ft. i think the steady water level had something to do with the better bite. bo

yep champ, it sure helps anyone to just pull their hair out. bass are so scattered right now. i fished the dam area last night. we ended up with four nice keepers, but that was about all the bites we had, and they were from four different spots. one on a big worm, one on a sinko, one on a beaver, and one on a skirted jig. looks like we both have a solid pattern going. bo

even a cheap scope when using it in the manual mode will pick up the shad and other fish underneath you. a mixture of white and green light works very well for us. we use two white halogens and one green tube light. i do not know if they have submersible led's that are as bright as the halogens yet or not. would be easier on the batteries if they did. keep at it. it is a very enjoyable way to fish, and most kids love it. there are lots of times that the fish do not really get gathered in until midnight, and many times the best catching is 2 to 4 am. it is most often an all night excursion. bo
