  1. 71 LBS 3 OZ
  2. Put an "a-rig" in the hands of an elite and my moneys on them
  3. I floated below the dam on Sunday, water is usually a little warmer due to generation above but Sunday wasn't the case. Great float but nothing over 2 lbs. Only thing I could get bit on was a jig fished tight to cover. Hope this helps. Probably caught 12 bass total, lmb, spots and 1 smallmouth
  4. Weren't the only 1 struggling. Had 2 shorts out deep on a grub in Aunts creek and 1 3 Lb fish on a rig. Never seen any bird activity
  5. It was a few years back
  6. i'm curious bc the fish in my avatar picture came off of the 4th dock on the right when you enter Port of Kimberling and now i can't fish it?
  7. So for instance, the 13 marina or Port of Kimbering Marina has houseboat docks and other commercial docks in them that you can't fish, I understand that. But the docks that are all the way in the back to the dock that has the Water Patrol boat on it near the entrance of the cove, every dock has a brown "No fishing" sign hanging on it. Only some of the docks sell gas or sell goods/merchandise. Why does every dock have a sign on it? Are they just trying to discourage fishing?
  8. Yes, we stayed near the dam. Had been catching them pretty good on jerkbaits and the a-rig the last few weeks but yesterday was just off. With the stained water and front, some days they just don't bite. Found the bigger shad and seemed to have fish around them on the graph, just no fish willing to commit. I'll be back, feel like I need some revenge
  9. Was out there today. Ramp was fine, launched at hermitage. Water was 43 near the dam and stained. Fished for about 5 hours for bass. Not a single bite. Little miserable when I smoked em on Stockton last weekend
  10. Fished yesterday out of Ruark Bluff for bass from 11-4. Didn't catch many short fish and had 21 keepers. All keepers were from 1.10 to 2.7 lbs, no big fish. Fished chunk rock banks that had a little wind. Most fish came on a jerkbait with a handful on the rig. Water was 40 degrees at ruark and 42 near the dam
  11. i should be going in the next few days, i will post a report. Only fishing for bass
  12. Thanks
  13. Coming up Friday around the Fairfield area for my moms birthday. Any info on the crappie bite. She would like to catch a few but haven't been to Truman in years. Looking to drown some minnows. Thanks for any help or advice.
  14. I don't ask bc they won't tell. We caught our fish deep on a jig near the dam,12'-20' fow. I know some fish were caught carolina rigging on main lake and secondary points. The water is very dirty up the rivers with a ridiculous amount of debri. We started out around the 83 marina and water was 54 degrees with about 6-8" of visibility. When the sun came out around 11 the water warmed very fast. We took out at 3:00 and the surface was 58-59 degrees. It was reported that after the sun came out the bigger sacks of fish were caught flipping shallow bushes but who knows.
  15. Joe bass Saturday took 17 and AIA today took 24
  16. The guy that makes these is located just North of Springfield. His company is Poor Boy Custom Jigs, 417-861-5734. He can make any head style, any weight, different size hooks and any color you need. He has a lot of stock patterns but every jig is handmade and comes with a copper tied collar so no dry rotting. Very competitive pricing and most of the time he sells them by the dozen. Message me for more info if you want. Thank you
  17. Who needs the parks dept?? Just tell people when to meet and entry fee. People will show up. I've had a few small tournaments on fellows. 4 or 5 boats, biggest 5 win. Think we did a $20 dollar entry, winner takes all
  18. I called the core and they denied the rumors about the extra turbine and said they have had a lot of calls concerning it. Anyone know the truth??
  19. Don't know about too early!? My best days on this rig were when the water was 41-43 degrees. I really think the weather up and downs have wreaked havoc on the fish
  20. Had 4 musky from 1-5 today. No bass
  21. Spencer was using keitech swing impact fats last year on table rock. The fluke jr and the keitech have been my main options. The gene larew sweet swimmer is becoming a favorite thoigh
