  1. Ahhhhh......... It looks like a Kentucky to me. Also called a spotted bass here in the Ozarks.
  2. A friend that works in the BPS corp offices checked with Dan Hoy, the guy that "knows all" when it comes to the tanks at all the bass pro shops around the country, and Dan has not heard from anybody in Missouri recently about a big bass donation. That doesn't mean one wasn't caught, just that they never contacted bps.
  3. Here's a link that might be helpful. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Repo...ata/Tabrock.htm
  4. Powerdive, I couldn't have said it better myself. Congrats to W & D on their catches ! Stone9-7=2, don't worry about your typing or spelling. Keep on posting as that is what makes up a good forum.
  5. Hey there Jigger, I mean Walleyehunter, I thought that might be you. Yes, it was a good tournament and a fun few days. I know, that you know, where we were fishing....lol.... Glad to hear from you. Hope to see you in October !
  6. A 20 inch walleye won the pot. lol. It wasn't mine.
  7. Nicely done RPS....! Nicely done. Very good reports too. I live on the far end of the pond but like the upper lake better, especially for walleyes. Good job.
  8. Hey guys, there is a fruit jar walleye small time tourney in the morning out of K-Dock. Be there a little before 7:00 a.m. and you'll see severeal boats. There will be a very small kitty, (10) per man, and the biggest SINGLE walleye wins the pot.... Gotta be back at K-Dock by 3:00 p.m. though. It's the longest walleye, not the heaviest.... Most enter by team (20) but whatever....1 guy, 2 guys, 3 guys in a boat...whatever. 10 apiece.....
  9. Thank you, Thank you... lol...... We were trolling crankbaits, mid to lower lake. Tourney was out of Peel (125 Marina). Big fish was right at 5 pounds (4.92), not a monster by any means but not bad for mid-June. We caught a few the day before on crawlers but it was pretty slow so we decided to try something else (cranks) and it payed off this time. (finally, lol).
  10. I've gone from dial-up to Hughes and I'd never consider going back to dial-up. Hughes is WAY better. I can't quote the speeds but it is noticeably faster then my dial-up which usually connected at 28.8. The main draw back is the cost. Everything else about it is better. By the way, my partner and I won the Bull Shoals Walleye Tournament Saturday. We brought in a tournament limit (5) that weighed 17 pounds plus change. We also snared the big fish award. Tournament was put on by Mid-South Walleyes and Reef Runner lures. Had a good time and obviously had a really good day.
  11. Me too.....! LOL.....
  12. Hey Whodat.... What size Model A do you guys use...?? A 6A ??
  13. I found one of those "magic tree's" yesterday. Trolling small cranks on leadcore mainly looking for Whites. Went over a tree topping out at 28 feet below the surface. Got 7 big fat Kentucky's, 3 shorts and one nice White. Water was right at 110 feet deep. lol..... really. It definately helps to locate those special spots.
  14. And the "fruit jar tourney" is open to anyone. Come on down...!! Speaking of walleye stocking information, here's a reply from Ken Shirley (Ark Fish & Game) to Bob Rogers posted today on another site. I'll attempt to add a link. Very interesting stuff. http://www.lakestockton.com/read.php?34,21510
  15. Back in about 1969 or 1970 we saw many of the jellyfish and for some reason, they were thick at the downstream end of Logslide Bluff, near the mouth of Little Cow Creek. They seamed to be floating with the current towards the dam. You guys are right. They are about the size of a dime. Whiteish / almost clear. If you caught one in a clear glass they would slowly sink towards the bottom and then somehow propell themselves up in the glass. I haven't seen one in along time.
  16. Is it a single console or double...?? How about a photo ? I'm looking for a used Lund but need a double console or walk through. Thanks.....
  17. You might check with Lee Brown. He guides at Bull Shoals mainly for walleye. Here's a link to his website. http://www.brownsguideservice.com/index.html I don't know anything about his schedule. You might also ask around on the forum at www.mid-southwalleyes.com
  18. The "catching" in 2004 and 2005 was very good at the PWT events at Bull Shoals. I'm just guessing but the two tournaments dropped for 2007 were the two events the farthest away from their home ground. That may have had some bearing on their decision... I do believe that the PWT will return to Bull Shoals. Just not in 2007.
  19. Well, unfortunately.......... The PWT was an In-Fisherman run organization. In-Fisherman was owned by Primedia Corp..... Recently, Primedia was sold. The 2007 PWT tournament schedule was shortened from 8 tournaments to 6 tournaments. One of the two tourneys dropped was Bull Shoals. So, no Professional Walleye Trail at BS this year. darnnit.
  20. You're going to want the '07 chip..... I doubt if you'll find it any cheaper then $149.??.... I don't know what the advertising on the '06 chip says, but Tablerock isn't 1' contours on the '06 chip. Get the '07.
  21. Try this link for Tom Koobs books. http://www.shellknob.com/fishing.htm
  22. The Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) will be returning to Bull Shoals June 20-22, 2007. If you'd like to learn alot about catching walleyes consider fishing the tournament as a co-angler. You fish each of the three days with a different pro each day. You can gain alot of "walleye smarts" in a short time and it's fun. At least my experience in 2004 was fun. Information is available (or will be soon) on the In-Fisherman website under the side bar Professional Walleye Trail. Have fun....!!
  23. Question for Bill or anybody actually. This morning and last Sunday morning I'm marking a ton of good sized fish hanging at 80 to 95 feet over 154 feet of water. (Between Kimberling and point 5). These are clearly fish, not trees. I'm running a Lowrance 110c and these VERY deep fish seem to be relating to shad schools that are at or near 35 to 45 feet. My question is, what do you think these fish are? Last Saturday morning we had an exceptional day in the same spot, catching big Whites. (Trolling). Then Sunday all the bait was right where they were Saturday but the fish had gone ultra deep. You may think I'm crazy but I'm thinking that those deep fish might be Whites. Any ideas...??
  24. CMAC... I can't tell you much about the bass fishing, but if you go down the bank casting a crankbait or a jig with a piece of nightcrawler on it, you'll have a good shot at catching a walleye. The walleye seem to be biting pretty good all the way from Peel to the big dam. Theodosia arm included. Good Luck...!!
  25. Well, she didn't have to carry me, but she caught half of our two walleyes.... It turned out for the best I guess. Twin walleyes that weighed just shy of 4 pounds each. We were trolling big cranks over an isolated patch of deep tree's. We were fishing between point 16 and point 19. The top three places were taken (reportedly) fishing bottom bouncer / spinner / nightcrawlers. All in all, we had a great time and will probably enter the Stockton tournament June 3rd & 4th.
