The float started at lime Kiln this morning at about 8:00, three canoes, three men, and three boys. Chief and Dylan, Mike ( WoundedOne )and his son Ian, and me and Dayton, one of Dylans friends. A lot of fish were caught through out the day on several different baits. I'll post a couple of pics of the highlights.
My first and best fish of the day came at about 8:30. It was about 2 lbs. and totally slammed my buzzbait. No picture of that one. A few minutes later Dayton made a cast over to the edge of a large section of moss and I hear this huge splash and turn around to see him fighting a big fish. It took him under the boat and back twice before I got a good look at it. Not a bass. Nope, it was a fat carp that absolutely inhaled his mini crankbait.
I can't speak for the other guys, but everyone caught a lot of fish and some good ones too.
Chief caught a very nice smallmouth that I got a picture of and a goggle-eye with some odd markings.
The last picture is one of Dylan from a couple of weeks back with a double hook-up.
I had a blast today. Of course I always do with these guys.
