  1. F&F, Do you ever fish for strippers using swimbaits?
  2. Thanks Champ for sharing this with us. I'm a longtime cranker, but never pass up learning new techniques or refreshing the old tried and true ways.
  3. Thanks for sharing lildave. I'll be down Tuesday and Wednesday and appreciate the report
  4. I watched your episode and it was very good. Byron's show is one of my favorites. It shows all of us the hard work and knowledge that local guides all over the country have and are doing. Thanks for filming your episode and thank you Bryon for showcasing the hard working people in the guide business.
  5. That was perfect F&F !!!! Nothing like french guy's playing mountain music.
  6. Which Lucky Craft 3.5 were to throwing? I have some of the Rick Clunn silent fat BDS 3.5's, but not sure if these are the ones you were using.
  7. Great article. Thanks as always for the information.
  8. All you guy's are all killing me. Can you imagine Bill picking up that day's client at the dock. He's wearing his favorite Babe Winkelman Polarized sunglasses, a Tennessee Volunteer ball cap, a freshly pressed Jimmy Houston Outdoor Center T-shirt and a pair of KVD Irish Setter flip flops. The guy gets in the boat and whips out two Bill Dance signature series Zebco 202's, opens up his Hank Parker Plano two tray tackle box, ties on his favorite Roland Martin autographed Helicopter lure on one and a A-Rig with three banjo minnows and two flying lures on the other. He looks over at Bill and say's "Let's go gettem Champ". ( I think I just wet myself )
  9. I am also interested. Do you you have Bone, any of the craw colors or Shad?
  10. Sounds like it is finally starting to get ready to be GOOD!!!
  11. I ordered up some "original" ones yesterday. The Mag's are also on sale. I have a few of the actual "originals" left and the main difference is the colors. I have repainted a very old bone several times with clear "Hard as Nails" nail polish and the darn old thing still catches them. I just know one of these days if will finally break, but man that old thing is tough.
  12. Thanks guys for all the information. Big thanks to Mark, aka mixermarkb, and Diamond. I feel like I should pay you guy's for the advise. Very through and informative and extra nice of you to sure it with me and everyone else. And good luck to you, Brian and edyer. And Ham, I've always been told that the Bull fishes very much like Table Rock, but it has to have it's own subtle differences. I'll try and post nightly while while we are there and let everyone know how we are doing. Thanks again, Tim
  13. Hang on, they have single tail and twin tail Fat Alberts. Which works better?
  14. Gunner, hate is such a strong word. lol. But I will have to admitt I've said that, and a few other choice words, after making a 1000 cast on the Rock and not scoring a keeper.
  15. Thanks again Gunner. I'm ordering some now. We are going down to Bull Shoals in two weeks for our first ever spring fishing there and we'll see what happens. I've been fishing Grand and Table Rock for years and finally decided to drive the extra hour and a half the see what Bull Shoals has to offer.
  16. Thanks Gunner. I was actually just looking at the Fat Alberts on BPS website. I have darter heads, so that's taken care of. What's the best way to fish them?
  17. I have to admit there's one technic I've never exploited for spring bass and it is fishing a grub. I have fished small grubs for years for crappie and whites, but have never used them for bass. I know that you guys talk about whacking them on a smoke colored grubs on here, so I'd figured I better get on board. What style and size is best and what colors besides smoke should I use. Thanks, Tim
  18. We are coming down the week of April 8th and are hoping the slow warming trend the forecasters are predicting holds true. This will be our first spring trip to the Bull. I would expect the bass will be past ready to start moving up. Mike do you have any advise for us Bull Shoals rookies?
  19. I always learn something new from your post. And somethings are refreshed. I can't thank you enough. Tim
  20. Just for instance. The fish I'm holding in my profile pic was 27" long and 19" around. She weighed 10 even according to my Berkley digital scales and my Bass Pro Shops spring type scales. According to Bass Resource's calculations, she would have weighed 13.57. I'd like to go by the Resource's figures, but the scales don't lie.
  21. I'd try the Piney Creek area. The back end of it is off limits to motorized boats. There should be lots of fish and little to no pressure. I'm not sure where to tell you to lauch, but you can check a map for a access.
  22. The main difference is the flipping deck insert and possibly a different paint option.
  23. I own a 2006 Sabre DC. I have been extremely happy with it. It is very stable at top end and can handle the big waves. Mine has a 150 Optimax and runs 60mph with all the storage boxes fully loaded, 40 gallons of fuel and with two people. I have yet to tweak my jack plate any, but I believe it could turn 65 mph with a little adjusting and loaded a little lighter. It also is extremely staple when turning at WOT, no hopping or skipping. The ride is also very dry. What impresses everyone that goes with me are the numerous little extras that come with a Cat for about the same price you'd pay for any other brand. You also can not get better factory support than from BassCat. And almost better than that is the Owners Board on the BassCat website. You can get any question answered quickly by both a factory rep and numerous owners.
  24. I'm with you Dennis. One never realizes what you have until it's gone. I've been to Springfield to many times in the last two months! I had to come back through Springfeild fromTable Rock Wednesday just to get five packs of worms. Probably cost me as much in gas as it did for the worms. I could have ordered them, but wouldn't had have them for the next day. They are rebuilding Academy though. I haven't heard about Southtown. Have you?
  25. I believe I found this link on here or on another fishing blog. http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MO
