Hell Jeff, I don't think people can agree to what World Class is. Kinda funny to read this thread again and compare it to current postings.
And you're right. The majority of records came from lakes. But that's not important.
In the 1880's, trout were stocked along the SLSF Railway. This would have been Verona for Spring River. There was also a Trout Farm along the river south of Verona.
Williams was at one time reported to have trout also. I have not caught one in there.
I was curious if you happen to keep that bass? It sure was a keeper like your wife said. Congrats to her!
Ehh it's just after years and years of hearing nothing but the most dire extremes about the smallmouth in this water and then bang, one bad winter for giggers and its magicaly fixed. That is some hellacious growth rates I guess.
What a difference a few months make.
From years of massive Spot invasion and slaughterhouse gigging to absolute utopia. Maybe the MDC ain't so dumb after all.
I just take them right out of the package straight to the smoker. I don't prep them in any way.
I smoked these with some ribs. I smoked them real low, around 200-250, for about 7 hours.
That is them on the lower rack below the ribs.
