  1. Maybe it was you that wort that article. Sounds like the same false information FORCED on the readers.
  2. My God! $11.11 per child!! Outrageous!!! SHUT IT DOWN!!! NOW!!!! Wrench was right along!!
  3. Its not a long list but here are some places I would like to fish at some point in my life. In no particular order Sturgeon in the Missouri River in Missouri. Trout at the begining of the Missouri River near Great Falls MT. Trout on the Western Slope Smallmouth from Maine Peacock bass in native range LM bass in Mexico Trout from New Mexico Fly in Canada EDIT: I forgot one. I have always wanted to go to Finland's Lake Paijanne. That is where Lauri Rapala first got his start. I have wanted to go and experience that area.
  4. Shoulda had some Suffix 832. I'm keep telling ya that Power Pro ain't no good!
  5. I agree these are a little "full figured". I like that. I like bulk but not too much bulk. But they can be trimmed and thinned. I had just put this one together when I took to the pic. But I don't find that it kills the wiggle much if at all. Now on I wouldn't put this on a plug any smaller without some trimming. Also I put my skirts on upside down to give the fuller look and a much better action. I'm a 60 strand fan myself. Like the H&H spinners. Those to me are the cats butt of skirts but their rubber now days is the absolute worst. If someone made a 60 strand flat silicone skirt in the colors like I linked, I'd be in all in!!
  6. BTW, you don't have a couple of blanks of those do you?
  7. Well I did think to myself when I saw your pic that you needed to put a shorter shank hook on the belly. That one on the left has a bit of room to it. Not to sound like I am critiquing your work. I have had to change hooks before. It's just me and it may not make any difference but I don't like the look of a skirt hanging free of the plug. I like for there to be contact.
  8. Compared to Al's pic, this silicone doesn't look near as tangled to me. I think silicone performs far and above vinyl when it comes to action. While reeling it will pulse. Stop and it will dance and swim around the bait. One of my favorite things to do is let it set for a few seconds before I begin the retrieve. The silicone will spread wide open and flex in the water. And the slightest twitch will ad a ton of life.
  9. What did Barney always call Andy? Ange. Maybe its Ang. Anywho this Nick cat found a message in a bottle. Did you see the pics of it?
  10. This reminds me of an episode of Andy Griffith. Bea got a letter in the mail. She spent 5 minutes trying to figure out who sent it to her. Finally Ange says to open it up and find out. Stunned at the thought of brilliance, she opens it.
  11. That is a chain like 7-11 or Quik Trip. I'd say that is some check stubs someone put in there years ago. I don't think they have made those bottles since the late 80's or early 90's. Open her up and take a read.
  12. Is that a Git N Go check stub?
  13. Vinyl sucks!!!!! Worst skirt material ever!! http://www.barlowstackle.com/3-Silicone-Pro-Silicone-Fishing-Skirts-P789C115.aspx Here is my skirt of choice. On some plugs they may be a litttle long but with a little trimming they work better than any other. I'll take silicone over live rubber now days. My only complaint is that the flat silicone is only on the outside strands. The inside strands are round. It doesn't seem to affect the performance.
  14. I've bought from them for a number of years. Never a problem.
  15. Did you get this info from Bill's book? I have been holding out on getting it as there is another update due out soon. It may already be out but I haven't checked lately.
  16. No they can't donate but they will have to campaign on their behalf. Every time these jacklegs pull these political stunts it cost the MDC and the citizens. I'm not sure where you guy's get the idea that the MDC is some cash cow with money to burn. I guess it is from reading too many Douchemont columns. The truth is every dollar is accounted for and allocated. There are many programs and research projects that sit on the self due to no funding. There is a research project for the Shadow and Ozark bass that has been on hold for three years now due to funding.
  17. Make it easy on yourself and your wallet. A smallmouth will hit the same baits that you toss to LM.
  18. Spoonbill is all Fed. It was a part of deal for building Truman. Elk? Really?? http://mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/wildlife-restoration/elk-restoration/elk-restoration-background/elk-restoration-plan Who will pay for an elk restoration? The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and other partners have provided financial support for Missouri elk restoration. Trout - all paid for with trout permits. The Conservationist - available online and has been for years. Stream Team - you get way more than just T-shirts for free. They have a ton of handouts for volunteers.
  19. It has been up to this point.
  20. Winner Winner Prairie Chicken Dinner!
  21. That is what you all were saying when I kept posting about the Repubs trying to take deer away from the MDC and put them under Dept of Ag because a handful didn't want to follow the rules. We came within 1 vote of loosing it all during the veto override. And oddly enough you should recongize the names on these bills.
  22. Your boat is paid for but you have to maintain it.
  23. You now another great idea for some of the less tender cuts is Swiss Steak in the crockpot. Dang thats good stuff. And I don't know why I didn't mention this as I was making a batch as we were discussing this is Stew!
  24. Yeah we haven't had our annual Gigging thread yet.
