  1. Fishing cheerleaders. Great idea!!
  2. I agree with WakenLake. Its just another bait. It has its time but we did well last year in tourneys when other folks were throwing it and we didn't. Also it died off somewhat during the summer.
  3. Very nice fish!!

    2-19

Went out with a friend of mine from 10am-4pm midlake. Tried to hide from the wind as much as possible. Caught two nice 12in plus crappie, 4 whites and four 10in shad. Hard to stay on the shad and fish. Also a little bit cold out there. They were about 20-25ft and we were spooning and jigging them.
  5. Tri lakes in Spokane rebuilt my 1998 merc 225 EFI did a great job
  6. Why would they die off?
  7. Congrats on the nice mess of crappie!! As far as crappie niblets go, I am a true believer after many trips fishing against my partner who used them. It seems to me they are more effective earlier in the year than later in the summer when we do almost as good without them.
  8. I had the one you are looking at also. I kept the trolling motor but upgraded my mount to the gator mount. I did not like the mount that came with it at all.
  9. Jason- I use them for walleye fishing and have caught several incidental crappie on them. They work fine.
  10. How are you rigging the fluke jr? With a head or weedless?
  11. Try Championship Marine in Spokane. They do an excellent job. Tom can give you an estimate over the phone.
  12. I fished with a buddy of mine and his 6yr old daughter today. Fished mid lake today from 7-230pm. Pulled spinners and crawlers on bottom bouncers in 23-35 fow. We caught 5 walleye (20-24 inches). Also caught a limit of keeper kentuckies with the largest at 17.5in, a half dozen large bluegill, a flathead about 5lbs and our 6 yr old fisher girl pulled a lindy rig all day and caught a 2-3lb channel cat, a nice kentucky and the only smallmouth we caught :-) Excellent day to be out and plenty of action for us! Water temp looked about 77-78 .

    Teal

Speaking as one of those guys, thanks for thinking of mentioning that :-)
  14. I use mostly spinner rigs that I tie. Only occasionally do I use only a slow death hook and a crawler.
  15. Here is a pic of the two largest.
  16. Went yesterday by myself. Fished from daylight until 130pm from Joe Bald to Baxter and then up the James River arm. I caught 3 eyes (19, 22.5 and 24.5 inches) the biggest was pushing 5lbs. Also caught 10 kentuckies to 15.5inches, a 4lb channel cat and three filleting size bluegill. I only bottom bounced with nightcrawlers in 23-27fow. I have missed all the big bluegill that I normally catch in search of walleyes on Table Rock. Not sure if they are deeper or shallower than where I am fishing. Guess I will have to be content with just the eyes
  17. That would be a shame if you lived on BS, RPS. Who would teach us how to consistantly catch TR walleyes? :-)
  18. I launched there this evening. Only caught a couple of bass on topwaters biggest was about 3lbs.
  19. We had a fairly good day thanks to Bill's reports lately. Went out about 0730am after walleye mainly in the areas and depths Bill reported. We got side tracked right away with surfacing kentuckies. Caught several on spoon while they were up and a few when they went down. Went back to bottom bouncing around 26-32 ft. Caught several more kentuckies and finally picked up three walleyes. Two 19s and one 22 incher. Also caught two channels around 4 lbs. ended up with around 20 kentuckies with only two keepers. The young man fishing with me said it was his best fish catching day ever! Thanks again Bill for the detailed reports.

I launched at south Mutton Weds with no problem.
  21. Thanks for posting.
  22. The clouds, rain and cool temps were awesome! I needed a good day like that. Been slow last few times out in the heat.
  23. Had some luck on small white cranks and some on silver and blue.
  24. Fished with a buddy today from 630 to 4pm. Caught about 35 bass early in 2-10ft on crankbaits. Only 2 keepers. Then walleye fished with bottom bouncers and trolling. Caught 6 walleye with two keepers 16 and 17 in. Also picked up about a dozen keeper bluegill. Then ran into some whites schooling in the back of a pocket and caught 20 from 1-2lbs on tiny torpedo topwaters. All in all a very good fish catching day!! Now I have a mess of fish to clean.
  25. Glad you are out on the lake again!
