  1. Glad you are out on the lake again!
  2. I know several nice ones come out every spring if thats when we are talking about. I to would be real interested in big ones on a regular basis during the summertime.
  3. Topwater would be worth it. I just put a report on another thread. Caught a couple of 3lb bass throwing topwaters saturday evening late.
  4. Went out yesterday evening and caught two nice 3lb bass didnt notice any issues with the water besides being low. Water temp was 87-89. Bass came on topwaters also saw another fisher catch one out of a canoe.
  5. I have caught walleyes on Table Rock from Moonshine up to Roaring River. Not a bunch mind you but some good ones. I know a few guys on here that have caught some bona fide trophies eyes out of TR. always wade through a lot of bass and bluegill which isnt a bad thing in my book. Trolling cranks and bottom bouncing has been most successful for me. Spooning can be very productive from what I see on bill's report also.
  6. It is difficult for me to graph around before fishing as I am ready to go when I get there but I have been doing better at spending sometime with the sonar before dropping a line and I believe it has increased my success rate tremendously. In the long run it saves fishing time.
  7. I love Stockton for numbers and the size has seemed to gotten better in the last few years. I like BS for average size which for us is usually the 20 in area. Seen some a lot bigger come out of there also. I attended a get together of some walleye fisherman I know this past weekend on Table Rock. My wife and i caught 4 in the 17 in range but one of our group caught a 10.2lb eye while trolling. So I think all three lakes can be good at times.
  8. Fished Fellows with a friend this morning. Caught 4 walleye (14, 16.5, 19 & 22in). All on nightcrawlers in less than 18 fow. Also caught three channel cat in the 3lb range. Water temp was 87.
  9. When we were at Lead Hill last Saturday someone was having a spearfishing tourney. Several boats with divers on them.
  10. Havent been to Stockton lately but heard the walleye bite was slow and early morning. I think Lead Hill area is about the best bite around in these hard hot days. Good Luck!
  11. I have caught a few below the dam in the spring a few years ago but never in the lake. I have caught a few nice Kentuckys in the lake this year though. I also have done very well at times at Fellows for whites. Last summer they would school out there late afternoons.
  12. We fished a tourney there a couple weekends ago and it was very very crowded for a lake that size. No big cruisers like TR but tons of ski boats, wake boats, jet skis and runabouts. Very rough no matter where you went!
  13. After the sun comes up any area with shade on it has been the best with topwaters for us.
  14. Mike--would you share the mustard sauce recipe?
  15. Didnt see him catch fish but he was friendly.
  16. Nice. I do like those stripers. Just havent caught any monsters.
  17. Were you out today Kee? I saw someone on a tube near the old launch.
  18. My son and I fished the lake this morning caught 4 bass from 2-3lbs on topwaters. Would have caught more but tried catfishing for a while with no luck.
  19. Taxidermist, Do the stripers still taste good when they get that big?
  20. Mmmmmm!!! Nice job!!
  21. Gonna give Stockton a try this week for walleye and crappie. Hope they pick up some. We were on Pomme Saturday for a bass tourney. Caught some nice crappie spooning the bridge at Nemo. Also had two A10 warthogs give us an airshow with runs that look like they were targeting our boat We waved at them, they were that close. On the last run, the last A10 waggled his wings as he came over. VERY COOL!!
  22. When I fished the lake alot I checked with MDC and they said it was safe. I am sure its no different than eating fish out of the James River or Table Rock. I believe most people compare it to a clear water lake like TR or Stockton and because its a generally murky water lake they think the fish could not be safe out of that kind of water. I grew up fishing in north Louisiana and all of our lakes had water clarity about like Springfield Lake.
  23. Don't fish this lake much. My son and I fished from 7-4 Saturday and only caught 3 keepers, nothing big on jigs. Am I missing something or has the bass fishing slowed recently?
  24. Billfo--Yep, its all catch and release for crawdads now, sorry
