Rain? After getting soak the first ten minutes, I hardly noticed the downpour that lasted for a couple hours

Had a good Friday and Saturday fishing with my father. We fished the mid lake area for bluegill and walleye. Caught two nice walleye 19 & 21" Friday dropshoting crawlers. Also caught several good bluegill on crickets. Went back Saturday morning and caught another 20.5" eye and lost another larger one at the boat bottom bouncing crawlers. Also picked up several more bluegill and bass. Seemed like everything we picked up was around 27' on main lake points.

I am going to be anywhere from Indian Pt to Kimberling. Thanks

Anyone catching big bluegill lately? Wanted to give it a try this weekend with my Father.

The weather was hot, the fishing was so so. We caught 15 or so bass nothing bigger than 1.5 lbs, a couple nice crappie and a couple rainbows. Bass were early on top waters, crappie on jigs, trout from trolling small cranks. It was also nice to meet likinmo at the ramp!

Likin, I will be out of Rockaway this weekend in that area in a dark 20ft champion. Stop by and say hi if you see us.

Found some good bait midafternoon. Had to work for it though. My son and I caught 24 channel and blue cats. 1-4lbs on jugs. In the back of a main cove.

Are the shad bunched up on the lake? Going to the Osage Bluff area this weekend to catfish and wanted to throw net some shad.

My fishing buddy caught the state record yellow perch several years ago while we were walleye fishing on Bull Shoals. It has since been broken. We called the conservation department in north Springfield. They had us meet one if thier personel at Outdoor Home on Division st. To use thier certified scales. They went through several identification tests to make sure of the species and asked my buddy several question on where when and how he caught it. He then called Wonders of Wildlife and donated it live to them.

Won the Champion Boat Owners tourney last fall throwing the WP right after it became real popular locally. I have been hooked on it ever since. It doesn't work the best in every situation but what bait does? it does seem to catch better fish for me. I throw the 130 mostly. Headed down to Louisiana this next weekend and am looking forward to see how it works down there.

Sorry, I forgot to mention we went out of Mutton both days and stayed within a couple miles.

Had some friends come in from STL for their annual fishing trip with me. Friday we caught 10 keeper crappie between 10.5-13 inches in 6-8fow on jigs blue/sliver were the best. Also had a couple of keeper eyes as we were throwing these jigs also in the same depth and a couple of whites. Only caught about half a dozen short crappie and about the same on short eyes. I thought Saturday would be tough but when we could stay out of the brutal wind Saturday morning we did ok catching another 10 keeper crappie mostly 11-13inchers, 3 keeper eyes to 17.5 inches, a couple more whites and three large bluegill. We caught these with a variety of methods (jigs, trolling and bottom bouncing spinners). The crappie were a little deeper 8-10 feet. The eyes were in 15-18 feet. Caught a bunch more short eyes but not very many short crappie this time.

My son and I put in at Mutton yesterday after turkey hunting yesterday morning. No luck on the turkeys but made up for it fishing. Did a little of everything bottom bouncing, trolling and throwing crappie jigs. Ended up with 17 large crappie, 2 walleyes, 5 whites and 6 large bluegill. Caught a lot of short eyes that were less than an 1/8th of an inch short and a ton of small whites. Also caught a few bass and drum. Just a real good fish catching day! Most of the crappie were in 6-8 fow right before dark and when it got cloudy and rainy.

Fished a couple tourneys last week and caught a lot of rock bass and green-eared sunfish or goggle eye on the ned rig along with a few bass. Is anyone else catching any? Thought I may actually try to fish for them next weekend.

Was out fishing Kimberling area today. First fish I caught had a ned rig head coming out its anus. Later on my partner caught another fish that puked out a whole ned rig head and bait! Whats up?

Does anyone have any hard evidence that if a prespawn bass is caught on a bed and say, taken into a weighin, and then release, will not go out and spawn anyway? I like the Major League fishing idea but as has been brought up before, it is not practicable in most large tourneys due to the fact you would have to have an official in each boat. Not hard for MLF with 6 to 10 boats but difficult to find 100-150 officials for some tourneys.

Have caught a ton of fish on lower Taney in the past several years. Whites, bluegill, crappie and bass. Caught several bass in the 5-6lb range. Would like to figure out if there are any walleye in there. I have trolled and only caught trout.

I would second that tourney. Fished it with each one of my three kids and they all enjoyed it. Very well run tourney.
