    Well!

Went to the Gasconade found it was froze over so I went back to the Niangua by the house. Was trying to catch Suckers but caught my limit of Trout. The river was very clear so I used 6# Test Line. oneshot

  4. Ok sounds good I need to find where I can get below a riffle. Don't have a boat so have to look around. Get my Maps out and look. oneshot

  8. You know you went right by me. I live just West of the KOA. oneshot
  9. Ok I live 5 miles from the Niangua River but find my best fishing 20 miles from the house. About 20 miles the other direction I can fish the Gasconade. I've been told there is good fishing on the Gasconade but went fishing there once and didn't do well. Is it me or is the Niangua better? Or is it just a matter of confidence? oneshot
  10. Where I was thinking is you go past Sapps Landing and there is Conservation Land up river from Sapps, gets shallower and gravelly there. Seen Gigging going on just up from Sapps and always figured they was mostly Gigging Carp but I rather catch Suckers. Oh the Lake is good there at Sapps for Catfish and on down for Crappie. What is crazy I'm thinking going here while staying at our Cabin by Fairfield Ramp and there is great fishing right there. What is funny several go up below the Dam from there but most locals I know stay away from there. oneshot
  11. Is there Suckers in the river before it gets in Truman Lake? I thought I seen some one time. oneshot
  12. Know many Gig Suckers out of the Niangua but do people Grab? oneshot
  13. Years caught many Big Trout went every weekend. But Branson was Small it was all about fishing. Branson was about 300, one Theater. oneshot
  14. Well at least Carp are a clean fish unlike a Catfish or Spoonbill. oneshot
  15. Ok we always just Breaded and Fried, my wife told me not to score because Crap Bones don't fry up like Suckers. Oh I skin Carp to get to the Mud Vein to cut it out. Growing up the bulk of our meat was Carp or Groundhog. I like Buffalo better but they are Native Fish. oneshot
  16. Ok what are some good Carp Recipes other than Canning? oneshot
  17. Ok I was thinking along the line of Brown Sugar too but never thought about Borax. No problem I have some. oneshot
  18. Know several that still go down there and fill their Ice Chest. Me I seldom go down but rather be at Forsyth anymore. Use to go every week end back in the '60's and caught several Large Rainbows. oneshot
  19. Ok I'm thinking taking Sucker Eggs, Salting them and basically curing them. How would they do for Trout Bait? oneshot
