  1. Signed up and looking forward to it.
  2. I am sure Bobw is aware of how the rig is used and decorated. I agree with him in that there will be certain times and conditions that the conventional baits will outfish the rig. I have tried it though and it does seem to catch more fish this time of year than normal. But with the unseasonably warm weather we are having it is kind of like comparing apples to oranges. I am curious to see what happens when the water temps get on down around 40 degrees.
  3. What a day snakem. Your making me want to play hooky from work and get out there.
  4. Cool rig and thanks for showing.
  5. Hey Donna thanks for showing up. I also thought it was a nice turnout with the weather we were given. Ryan and R.D. Butler won it with a nice bag of fish weighing 16.XX. Kenny is a great guy and really appreciated the donation. Once again, thanks to all for coming. P.S. A special thankyou to Aaron at Hook Line & Sinker in Rogers, AR for donating a $170 rod for a draw prize.
  6. Sounds like we will have a good tournout on Sat. I think the fish are going to be eating it up.
  7. Sounds good guys. They will be there the morning of to take money.
  8. Just wondering if the recent rains dirtied up the water around Caper Fair.
  9. Nobody interested in fishing this.
  10. This is for a fellow fisherman named Kenny Howerton that is only 29 years old. He went in for a planned surgery expecting to get out in 3 days. 25 days later he finally got out thankfully before they killed him. While under the knife they cut a vein to his kidney and ended up killing 2/3 of it. Mind you he was not even in for kidney surgery. He also got a major infection due to them forgeting to give him antibiotics after surgery. They had to do another surgery to remove the infection. Now that 2" by 10" gash has to heal from the inside out. He has to carry a suck pump that is catching the drainage from the wound. They say it will take from 2 to 5 MONTHS to heal and get back to work. He is now out of work and has major bills. I am sorry to rant and rave but this is just ridiculous. The tourny is Sat. December 3 2011 from 7am to 3pm. It is out of Mill Creek. The entry is $50 a boat with an optional $10 big bass pot. This is a 50% pay back. I hope all that can will join in for a good cause and catch some nice fish to boot. Thanks again
  11. I throw mine on 8 to 10 pound line. I don't think I have to worry about breaking split rings before my line snaps.
  12. I would think you could just put a single willow leaf in the middle matching the size of the baits attached. This would give it alittle flash but keep it pretty simple also.
  13. Very nice and detailed report. Please keep us posted on how this crazy rig works!
  14. Motoman, I'll bet your right on about swapping out the split rings changing the suspension of the bait. I would not worry about the rings and just go try them out to give us a report on that new bait.
  15. Nice report with some nice fish pictures to back it up.
  16. A bill broke off one of my mcsticks last year after only a couple casts. Sent it back and they sent me 2 new ones. Try that with megabass.
  17. I am thinking 26lbs puts you at the top of the list.
  18. Sam for some reason during that whole story I was picturing you two and it made me smile. It makes me remember the the things me and my grandpa used to do and looking back now I am SURE had to be illegal.
  19. Nice report. Alot of people would have called it a day on day one with the breakdown but you guys got back after it. Those were some nice fish and well deserved.
  20. Bill, I can't wait for you to get back. I've been looking forward to a good fish fry.
  21. Why would someone steal a catalytic converter.
  22. Skeeter, if you are strickly looking at the low rider series the Eakins rod is an awesome rod. I believe it is 6' 10" and a med.hvy. If you are throwing 1/2 oz and up Bills rod may be better but for a 1/2 oz and down it is a great rod.
  23. Best wishes to you and the Mrs.
  24. That stinks. I agree they should atleast open the launch area.
  25. Just wondering if you can put in at the UU ramp or is it still closed.
