They killed Barry...B@$turds! from some park south of here, lol later on

Got a buddy who fished it yesterday...he wade fished and said he couldn't cross where he neded to so wasn't much of a trip. The water is up and off color but not by any means unfishable and plenty floatable. The Dry Fork is dumping some fairly muddy water in but not enouph to spoil it. By my standards it would be a perfect float right now from the Hwy 8 bridge to Scotts Ford. Hope this helps ya later on

Now you've done it wrench...was condidering you for V.P. of whatever we become. Fish with a bunch of butt clowns...best friends are douche bags. You got some nerve buddy...keep that kind of talk up and the only place you'll be wearing waders will be around the house, lol. later on

Catch & Release Begins Friday Nov. 13th
brownieman replied to Flysmallie's topic in Roaring River State Park
Unfortunately, imo it will depend on how many old worn out broodstockers are available this year from Shepard to go around. Guess an old worn out fish is better than no fish ?? later on -
LMAO...really ! this is my kinda thread...talk about a feedin frenzy, lol...for the sick and impaired... later on

Hey BBB, We aint voted on that 'butt' crap yet...I like the words it forms but, hell...I don't know, just has a funny ring to it. Wouldn't want someone to misnterpret what we stand for, lol. later on

Definately oneshot, Cricket... you, me and wrench need to get together on the Niangua. I aint braggin but if there is a big one in there I'll find his butt if he's on the feed at all. Ask wrench...I have no problem being the locator and letting you guys catch em...most of the time I do my best to keep anything less than 15" or so off my line, I don't want to spook his mom or dad, lol later on

In that case I generally just take a rod and reel ( extra spool with lighter line ) that if need be will throw anything and 1 backup. That's why I'm a big believer in swivels...high quality barrel swivels, don't ever trust the snaps. Have never lost a fish due to my swivel failing, except with snaps years ago. With swivels I can run through every color, whatever I want to throw at em. I'm not the best fly fisherman but I reckon swivels aren't too user friendly with fly gear...I'd sure be the idiot to try it, lol I just always check my drag often and make sure my swivel is pinched shut good. The Shimano spinning reel drags seem to be pretty reliable but in frigid weather you need to check your drag often...even the high dollar reels will freeze up if it's cold enouph. later on

Hey jah, Just got back from the river...gene is right on the money concerning gravel bars on that strech. We had a little rain yesterday but the river looks excellent...several leaves in the water but the frost has most of em beat back already. I drove down to Cedar Grove and there were more people there than I expected...you're lucky anymore if you can catch the river totally to yourself. That fact alone is the major reason I like winter fishing...about the only thing that beats the crowds back and leaves the river to a few of us dumb asses stupid enouph to freeze our stinkin hands off, lol. 99% of my bigger fish have come during the winter months...even if I'm freezin my butt off fighting a big fish makes all else fade away...the ultimate 'In the Moment' experience far as I'm concerned. You know...becoming one with the fish or some of that poo poo talk, lol. good luck...be sure and fish it hard at daybreak...about the only way to ensure yourself undisturbed water. later on

BBB, The drug screening sounds ok...the drunk stuff I aint so sure about...I've put up with my fair share of drunks on the river, lake, whatever...the tweakers can't join either imo. We may have to take a vote on that from prospective members. lol. I like it...think we got something going on here...fun to kick around anyway, ya know. later on

Trout Numbers Vs. Cubic Feet Per Second
brownieman replied to ozark trout fisher's topic in General Angling Discussion
Wrench... Brother...can't believe my eyes man. Of all people you speadin that propoganda...that's a bad omen my friend, the Fish Gods are gonna be frownin on you, lmao. Wait and see...now we don't stand a chance of landing that pig... dangit man. You're gonna leave me no choice but to shoot him if we can even get him that close to us...man ! You sure just decreased our odds. Wait...maybe it's the sportsman in ya...reckon I like a challenge too so I guess it's cool, glad I second thought that out. Maybe you, myself, pat, bbb and pc can surround him...that's only if you're gonna be a member of the new order of fish hunters...we are in the process of forming this thing so you better get in or get left out man. later on -
Alright, keep em comin...I feel the creation of a task force comin on, lol...one with a worthwhile purpose, talk a while...hack a while and so on. I have some experience...I used to be the V. President of 'The Fish Coolers Association'. later on

Could it finally be the dawning of a new era...possibly a new organization. Names...we need names for this new org. I'll go with 'SFFA'..(Sh$t Faced Fishing Association) later

Laker, I have one I call 'The Heart Attack Hole'...don't think I need to explain. Could have named it 'Sh%t my Pants Hole'...heart attack sounded a little better, lol. later on

P C, Wrench is the only one on the board who has had the displeasure of fishing with my old butt, lol...I'm thinkin we learned each other sumpin though. I use a cheap old Ugly Stik...6' 6"medium heavy action and a Shimano series 4000 spinning reel with 15 lb. big game line on it. If it's a monster in a touph hole I throw my baitcaster on a 7' Muskie rod with 20 lb. test and have used a steel leader...those big males have some pretty nasty teeth. If I hook em solid and they get off, well...figure they deserve it cause I'm gonna stand on em hard right. Just let me know...I'd be game sometime...we'll have a 'Showdown at the Current'. Who knows, we may be famous someday for founders of such a touney. May as well do our best to finish ruining the river, lol. Pat, bro...you better start rat holin pennies man...gotta feelin you need in on this one. later on just a thought...wonder how trout pizza tastes..mmmmm, maybe a little fishy though. We could probably find a few dads to throw on it...never know...think I'm totally ate up today, hell...any day, lol.
-
Yeah guys...smoke enouph and you'll see fish whether they are there or not, lmao.. The ever 'Elusive Imaginary Trout'...hard to hook but I've seen a bunch of em, lol. later on

brownieman replied to patfish's topic in General Chat
Pat, What's up with that...are you above movin overseas and workin in one of those high payin sweat shops. Your gonna have to drop your pride buddy, lol. later on btw...you ever gonna be able to afford to fish agian ? -
What you mean...season close, I swear I didn't think I'd ever hear that likes outta you. I need to net about a 8 lber for you cause he's pullin so hard you can't get him close enouph to ya to net...won't fit in that dink net anway, lol...uuh, aint sure about the net but whatever. Quite talkin and get your a$$ down here...I'm tellin ya the water is perfect in your book...frosted enouph along the river the leaves are startin to thin out, they don't get along with my streamers at all ! I'm gonna make you walk straight to where those pigs are at. If the weather is right I would love to see you land a 8 - 10 lb. brown on that fly rod. Do you have a video camera or anything that would record what I got a feelin would be a lengthy fight, if so bring it and we'll see if we can't drop it in the water or some s!#t. Fair warnin...I'll give you first shot with that flyrod, nothin...then I'm rippin my balsa streamer through there and put a knot on his lip at least, lol...so bring your A game. Don't make me come up there and get ya...you must still have that gal around...admitt it, lol. later on

Where are you driving from ?

Years ago I had a family to feed and kept several 4,5 lbers to eat...love em if they're cooked right, no blood line a must. Nice fish weren't so rare back then...most monsters were released, just old and sluggish most of the time anyway. Figured this would either piss some off or hopefully scare you...bad part about this is we had just got back from the North Fork Tailwaters and the White and didn't do much good...same afternoon went down to the current and caught fish like this one, thought what in the heck are we drivin to Ark. when we have this at home. Just enjoyed fishing different water, sure many can relate. Just thought this was an exceptionally pretty fish. later on
