  2. 34% and I think I got lucky
  3. WOW! Nice report....Congrats!
  4. soggyfeet, where did you fish with it.....kinda looks like that would tear them up at Bennet Spring. Looks kinda like fish guts!
  5. Arrived at MS around 11am.....man was it crowded! I think everyone else had the same idea on a BEAUTIFUL day. Met Patfish, Sherwood Flycaster and Patfish's personal photographer ....was nice to meet you guys! Fishing was rather slow...brought 6 to hand, all on #22 tan, purple tailed G-bug, under an indicator. Fish seemed to be sun bathing just below the surface, not moving much. Threw #18 red zebra midge, Tim's secret fly, #20 tan/olive G-bug and a #18 tan scud, but the #22 tan/purple G-bug was the only producer. Was a great day to be on the water, even though it was slow!
  6. Hey Don, if you fill it up, let me know.....I'll come down and tie some flies with you!!
  7. I use a backpack I bought from Wally World in the Sporting Goods Dept...think it was $18. Use one compartment for waders/boots, second for my vest and the small one for a first aid kit, spare reel and some other small misc items. Works well but is sometimes hard to zip it up!
  8. 1. #18/20 G-Bug various colors 2. #18 Olive silver tung midge, w/strip of silver flash & vinyl rib 3. #18 Red/Black/Rust or Olive zebra midge, gold or silver w/matching rib (interesting to see others use copper, not much luck when I tied them in copper) 4. #18 ruby midge with silver tung 5. #14 Firecracker Crackleback with grizzly hackle Fished the White with Don May, Jeff House, Kevin Smith and Chuck Gallagher last October and they shared the G-Bug with me and my son (they were taught by Brett at Chartered Waters-Hollister)....has been my go to fly ever since. We were the only ones on the water that were catching fish!!
  9. Wooohooooo! Thanks!
  10. Terry, we need to get Michael to publish his sale on here for the grand opening so those of us that live 4 hours away could call in and take advantage of the deals!!

    Super Bowl

Wow Trav....for once I agree with you!! Still wish SD and GB were playing though!!
  12. a little different, but same theme....I am a Real Estate and Construction Manager for a telecom company and they cut through the fence and steal ground bars and power lines running from the meter to our shelters all the time! Doesn't matter where it is or the fact that they could be killed....pretty sad!
  13. Dano, from 6-11 last night and this morning, when I tried to hit the OA or Lilley's Landing pages it would stall out and tell me it could not display page. I called and spoke to Kathy this morning and she said she would call Phil....was able to get in when I got home.
  14. same here....jonesin'.....all last night and this morning. I called the office and Kathy said she would let Phil know.....anyone know what happened?
  15. In the teens here Phil...I heard these cold temps were headed to Florida tomorrow! What's with the comment about Marsha taking the pics? Are you saying she is not a good photographer? Looks like fun! You picked a good time to go!
  16. No camera....who cares.....farm raised....who cares, it was in a stream!! I would love to catch one that big!! Congrats!
  17. Have a Garmin Nuvi200 that I use for work/trips and it works great. Have not tried it while hiking/fishing yet. If you are looking for a simple GPS, check out Ebay for a used Garmin V or other handheld....can find good deals on used ones.
  18. Just sent a friend you way! Are you going to list the sale items so us poor sap suckers that are 4 hours away have an opportunity to take advantage of the sale??
  19. St. Louis County Parks is going to have a presentation on fishing Boundary Waters. Check out their website for the date and time....can't remember the date.
  20. Once again, Phil did a great job discussing fishing on Taneycomo! Thanks Phil, nice job! Have a safe trip to Florida. I was nice meeting you too Marsha!
  21. Don't have one, but am curious. Which model# do you have?
  22. CONGRATS!!!! Did you buy him a fly rod yet?
  23. I tied more last night and dropped them off at the post office....found you address
  24. Welcome Krash7172! If you are planning on wading at all, I would suggest you stop by Cabellas and buy a pair of neoprene waders (less expensive), if you don't already own a pair. You can rent a pair down there, but by the time you use/pay for them for 1 or 2 days, you could own a pair for a few bucks more. Duckydoty and the others on this forum will teach you a ton....but just understand that it is an addiction!
