  2. Nice one's,that's for sure.
  3. No it was my fault brownie.I caught it and it was a very good looking trout, colors, fins, tail.I went to find my wife to show her was my mistake.I created a crowd landing her.Had a fun time showing her off....getting my back slapped, nice fish, that's a big one.I had joked with her that she would be my witness to verify that it was 18" or more and I just kept it out of the water to long.Your right though a river trout would have lasted a little longer than a hatchery trout.i iced it up......but by the end of the day she looked like this. She was one of those "too small to mount, too big to eat".
  4. I tried to release this fish to claim my release a lunker patch. She bellied up on me?I grabbed her, pumped her up,released her......belly up?I tried again, only this time she started floating belly up down stream.....aka crow lunch, otter lunch, eagle snack. So's I jumped in waderless and had to keep her.Caught her on a shammy[chamois]worm, where the log goes across the stream.....submerged?????
  5. Interesting.....first i've heard of this method beside Terry's post on beads and worms. Why do you suppose they take the hookless bead more readily than a hooked bead?
  6. Nice fish, congrat's.Really like the color in the cheeks.
  7. Misread the post...........Catch and keep, spin fish,I would start with a orange and white rubber worm, green rubber leg jig, white jig 1/100-1/8th.......followed by white or black rooster tail, small rapala minnow lures, rebel craw dad.........and if it gets tough Yellow or pink power bait, velveeta or colby longhorn cheese and of course the ole original, never failing, most used bait ever......MR.NIGHTCRAWLER.Remember...have patience.....let kid's be kid's.....share your secret on good day's.....and thank god you can fish.
  8. Catch & release is open now.Use light line, wear polorized sunglasses, learn to float your bait drag free, set the hook any time you feel or see tension.Sight fish looking for feeding fish, one's that are swimming from side to side opening their mouths feeding.San jaun worms, puff balls[eggs],and micro jigs, change lures and spots often going back to lures and spots often.Good luck.

  18. Call Mo.department of conservation 314-301-1500[i think thats it] and ask for form, then I think your dad has to get his doctor to sign it.If that does not work, post again and I'll call one of my handicap hunter friends.
  19. [quote name='bikehikefish' date='Sep 11 2008, 11:03 AM' post='81705'put on one of the those small styrophome bobbers, er, I mean "strike indicators" corks, bobbers, strike indicators ,floats,floaties..............
  20. Go white. If I were to fish with a fly rod at Mac springs, which I do quite often. If I were having trouble catching fish, which I do quite often.I would fish a white 100th jig or white puff/glo ball.Wade out in the rapids, roll cast upstream, watch your white lure with your polarized sunglasses, and promptly set the hook when you see no white.....or feel a strike. Good luck
