  1. There's Waldo! Good job releasing those big girls. Love to eat em myself but those need to be let go. You guys are good sportsmen.
  2. Another one bites the dust.
  3. I've even seen some of these guys, after dropping their fish on the rocks, literally kick them out toward the deeper water with their dang boots rather than be bothered to bend over and use their hands to help the bass get started the right direction. Just burns me up to see this. We all spend thousands upon thousands to chase these little green fish around this big ol' pond and then kick them around like a stray dog when we manage to catch a few. Unacceptable. If you don't have any respect for the fish themselves, at least have some respect for the rest of us who are trying to catch a few. They are our property, too, bought and paid for with taxes and license fees.
  4. Speaking of local derbies and fish care, you gotta love the weigh-ins where they hand the fish back in a dry bag for the anglers to go release, then they run into a buddy on the way to let them go and stop to talk for 5 minutes while their fish are gasping and dying. Those are some of the same guys who walk to the edge of the water, hold the bag 4 feet in the air and drop the fish into 3 inches of water onto the rocks because they don't want to get their toes wet. A couple of suggestions: 1. Visit after you let your fish go. 2. Walk out on whatever dock is available and let your fish go into the deepest water possible.
  5. It's better in the river arms, Alex.
  6. Hallelujah, I'm not the only one "touched" by this affliction..
  7. Scott, glad you and Sam got out with Mr. Bill. He's a dandy. Without a doubt one of the very top-shelf guides on the lake and one of God's better pieces of handiwork.
  8. Good lookin' paint job, 24/7. Is that a flat-sided topwater?
  9. Pretty tough when 16 pounds wins among those boys, especially with a six-fish limit. Weights dropped off pretty fast going down the line, too. winterbassseries.com
  10. Thanks for that good info, Tim. Now we know for sure.
  11. Bench grinder with a wire brush wheel will take that chrome right off. Just have to be careful not to get carried away and grind down into the plastic.
  12. Wow, great trip. Glad you got to enjoy some of Table Rock's fantastic fall fishing.
  13. Very nice.
  14. I've used Rob McGilvry at Fall Creek Custom Lures more than once and had excellent results.
  15. Maybe in certain circumstances but KVD runs one and missed the Classic this year for the first time in 24 years. Hmmm. Guess the Hydrowave didn't help him much.
  16. Hydrowave? Uh oh. I'm not that teknekal.
  17. Good enough for me. No reason to doubt Mike's word either.
  18. I'm for that, balsabee. Of course, Johnny seems to like for his investments to take a more direct route back to his pocket.
  19. I know for certain that I have not once brought up anyone's name. No one. Nor have I attacked anyone's character. At the beginning of this current post, I stated some facts about tournament participation with payout figures that came directly from the CPA website. Other than that, I stated that I remain bothered by the fact that bass were taken from Table Rock Lake a month ago with no indication that they would be returned -- and no word about those fish from tournament organizers since then. I have the transparency to include my name at the bottom of all of my posts on this forum. I don't see that from most others.
  20. OK, I found the part about Aaron Martens throwing the spy bait at Bay de Noc. Freeze-framed the TV and took a pic of the screen with my phone, so the pic isn't the best. But definitely looks to me like No. 6 trebles of some variety on there. No doubt that's a Megabass XPlose since he's their cover boy. From what I've read, the Duo Realis has received quite a bit better reviews from those who've tried both.
  21. At this point, I'm pretty sure the objective is for all of us to be confused enough to just give up and move on.
  22. If you're referring to "at BPS" you are really splitting hairs there, fellow. The entire context of the discussion was about the weigh-in being held at BPS. I doubt anyone ASSUMED they took them to the local pizza joint or nail salon for quarantine. Besides, a Google search reveals plenty of instances of fish being held in the quarantine tanks at BPS prior to being dumped into Johnny Wonderful's Big Ol' Dang Fish Tank.
  23. The more, the merrier, I say. Everyone likes something different.
  24. And trucks only cost $40,000, and boats only cost $60,000, and burgers only cost $5 ...
  25. I've used the occasionally and never had an issue. Can't recall hearing anything bad about them either.
