  1. Yeah well my wife is still mad at you so enter me in the drawings and tell me what I won!! Hopefully I will see you there.
  2. Lots of good movies on that list. Men in Black, I have totally wore out "We're not hosting an intergalactic kegger down here." I love Young Frankenstein. I have it on Beta, VHS, DVD, and Blue Ray. I'm taking my 12 year old daughter to see it on the big screen on the 30th. I just told her we were going to see a movie about Frankenstein with the original Willy Wonka. She has no idea what she is in for. Here are a couple of newer ones from two of my favorite directors. My family doesn't have the same taste in movies as I do so I had to see these by myself. It was their loss.
  3. Same here. I didn't even vote for my other two choices. They all look like every other fish picture I've seen.
  4. How much are you paying for shipping? Yep there's your problem. They make those low ball deals with shippers so they can offer free shipping. That just means you will wait longer. Free is never free.
  5. What's a sick day??
  6. Some live to work, other work to live. That's the reason I left my previous employer. They wanted everyone to live to work. But I found a guy with a company that wants people to work to live. Even though he's a live to work kind of guy.
  7. Don't think it would make anyone's Top 5 list but I saw this movie with one of my daughters a couple of months ago. Made in New Zealand and is a bit quirky but still an enjoyable film. Hunt for the Wilderpeople
  8. Well if your opinion was more in line with what other people thought then you wouldn't have been blasted in social media. That's how the world works today old timer.
  9. I'm confused by all this. I thought the question was "what would I do" not "What would Johnny do". If you want to know what Johnny would do then you can watch that process unfold. I myself would sell and vanish. But Johnny didn't get to where he is by being an introvert. So he will continue on till he can no more. That's what those type of people do.
  10. It was said at one time that they would run them separately.
  11. The fishing is still good in that stretch and the catfish have always been plentiful. That section is teeming with life. I think its a bit less lawless than it used to be. I've been at it for 20+ years and I can remember a time when there were less people but more of them were a problem. Since JRO started doing a kickass job it seems to be a lot less crazy. But since they do such a great job it's a busy place. Better crowd, just more of them. I was telling Chief that there was a time that you couldn't fish that stretch without seeing some helicopters hovering or DEA agents running the river in a jet.
  12. It was the catching that sucked! Made a last minute text last night to see if I could get that Indian bear on the river. He didn't take long to respond and then immediately followed up with another. I left him hanging for about an hour. We hit the river and tried really hard for awhile. Saw a lot of good fish. Lots of big largemouth especially. Very few takers. Here's a photo dump.

    What's Cooking?

possum, armadillo, turtle, mole, unidentified roadkill, nightcrawlers, victims...........
  14. I know this guy. Sits in the back of the boat. Keeps his mouth shut. Takes awesome pictures.
  15. I have the same flotation device. Easy to make, cheap to replace.
  16. Yep, he does a great job at it. As long as he isn't running from a storm.
  17. I have an older Nikon D90 that has spent many days riding down the river with me in a canoe just sitting on top of my cooler. It's hard to take pictures when you have to take the time to pull it out of a dry bag. I used to carry it in a Pelican case but the only time I ever got it wet was when it was in that case.
  18. This. Pomme is a very good spinnerbait lake.
  19. For fishing and just a general pocket camera I switched to an Olympus TG-870. For everything else I also have a Nikon DSLR. I don't want anyone to think I was knocking GoPros. They are great cameras that are very hard to beat for what they are designed for. I just wanted to explore something a little different.
  20. Nice shot. The GoPros take some nice photos. I was surprised by mine. The only reason I bailed on GoPro is because I wanted zoom and more control. I also lost interest in video if I ever really had it. And good for you in taking time to carry it and learn it before you really need it. If more people would do that they would be a lot less frustrated when it really matters.

These type of games is the main reason I don't like college football. Once again they are more interested in a money grab than creating better players.
  22. That would be perfect for my 3 weight.
  23. I'll jump in. I have something in mind but I'll hold that thought until the specifics are determined to see if it fits.
  24. A friend of my dad's tore one off his Champion trying to put it on the trailer with the trolling motor down. It was hilarious. But in his defense we were all trying to load in a horrible thunderstorm on Truman. I had already parked my dad's Champion on the courtesy dock. Luckily the next huge wave pushed me right off.
