    I would just like to say that the experiences that I am talking about come from the SE side of the area. I'm coming from Springfield so the stores on that side of the lake are the ones that I have been in. In the town of Stockton I have never had a problem. I'm used to small towns and their attitudes and still prefer that.

    That's because the majority suck. There are some that are just disgusting, others are more of a locals hang out than a business and they make you feel very uncomfortable when you are in there, others I would never take my kids into. Went into one back in March and the guy the only guy working was so drunk he could hardly stand. It was 11 in the morning!! I don't buy that local mumbo jumbo. Too many people coming from Springfield that don't care who is local. The problem is that there has never been a good store around there.

    I would pay and not have any problem with it. But I'm used to paying it at the lakes so I guess it's not that big of a deal to me. I would rather pay someone and know that I'm helping them out rather than just park on the side of the road and hope for the best.

    You can get some really good lenses that have the AF built in. I don't think it really limits the amateur photographer.

    I doubt it. People have been talking that way about Crooked Creek for many many years. It has been ranked as one of the top smallmouth streams in the country. And it still never seems to get much pressure. I don't buy into this secret group of poaching ninjas that lurk on forums looking for their next honey hole. Why would you spend all that time and effort on a creek when you could go to any of the area lakes and make things a lot easier. But if everyone wants to keep it all a secret, then I respect it and will honor it. No loss to me.

    SJ was the road closed when you were at 125? I tried to drive out there today and the road is closed due to bridge replacement? Says it's a Fall project so maybe they just closed it.

    I know some of these idiots. The ranchers beg them to come in and kill as many as possible to control the population. I guess in some areas they are a big problem. My only memory of them is going as a kid and feeding them bread because they were so cute. There used to be a game you could download off the internet called Prairie Dog Hunter or Killer or something.
