  1. Looks tasty. That sourdough pizza crust idea is intriguing. Gonna have to try that even though my pizzas are already f'ing awesome!
  2. Yeah I haven't heard a bad thing about it. Show us some pics after the trip please.
  3. I wouldn't want any other person in a boat with me unless I had insurance.
  4. Is that the Tamron I keep hearing so many good things about?
  5. Roaring River is extreme wilderness compared to Bennett.

Yep, I think it's the beginning of the end for him. Not totally his fault, but that doesn't matter.
  7. Or more importantly, there is not much that we WOULD be willing to do. Not going to argue if the science is right or not. But if it is there is plenty that we could do. Just not going to be a popular or profitable thing, so we won't.
  8. There is a guy that used to post here quite a bit starting a business that will sell kits for growing your own. I've seen some pics of the results and they are quite impressive. Look for Phillip Taylor on FB. He's looking for some beta testers right now. Anyone know what Phillip's username on here is?

    Happens everytime.
  10. They still work very well.
  11. I agree. Kelroy nailed it.
  12. You can catch a few walleye in the James but they will be small. There are also several places along the James to catch some trout but they are just small spots where the water is cool enough to hold a few from Crane and some escapees from private trout farms. Not worth the hassle though. Plenty of bass though.
  13. That's my buddies dog. Stray dog that he picked up a few years ago. You can't touch a canoe in his presence without him jumping in the truck. And he was below the high water mark. I think he thought we were playing hide and go seek.
  14. My buddy takes his dog on every float that we go on and it's never been trained and also never been a problem. I don't understand why it's anyone's business if you take your dog or not as long as it's not a nuisance. People are forgetting that the dipshit with the gun is the issue.
  15. And lose any respect you had by making comments like that.
  16. I'd rather he just give me a second to pack her bags. Seriously I'm with Chief on this one. I doubt it's ever going to happen. I know you will think you need to be prepared in case it does but how prepared are you for other situations? Its more likely that a tornado will hit your house. What are you doing right now to prepare for that? Sooner or later some big object is going to come zooming in from outer space and hit the earth changing the world as we know it. What are you doing about that? I get it that people like to own guns, like to shoot. It's fun. I've always enjoyed it. But quit feeding us this line of crap about how you are going to be prepared for all these Hollywood scenarios. Time to grow up and quit playing make believe. Besides that guys already in a heap of trouble. He's no longer worried about me and my lady, he's more worried about the dog that is trying to destroy him. And while he's focused on that I'll do my best to beat him into submission with whatever object is handy.
  17. Apparently whoever calls dibs first. At least that's what I have experienced lately. I can see what you are saying though. That scenario really leaves things up in the air. And the ones that are eager to take possession the quickest are usually the least stable.
  18. Have you tried Bud & Walt's? It's okay, take it or leave it for me but my kids like it. I only mention it because it's in Nixa too. Reeds Spring Pizza Company is a good one too if you are ever in that area.
  19. Sounds good to me. I was supposed to be up there last week and was going to give you a call but my world collapsed.
  20. Godfather's is not too bad. It is probably my favorite for chain pizza. The buffet in Ozark is nice too as well as the one in Battlefield. And both have really nice people working there. I'm a bit of a pizza junkie, best freaking way to serve food as far as I'm concerned and you can do so much with it. When I travel I try to eat at least one meal at a local pizzeria. I've had some crap and I've been pleasantly surprised. If you ever find yourself in Gulf Shores, AL then you have to go to Old World bakery and Pizza. It's a dive but so, so good. But I'm like ness. The best pizza by far comes out of my own kitchen. My kids demand it and invite their friends. And they affectionately call me Pepperonnie.
  21. I was using 1/2oz and 3/4oz Johnson Sprites. Use a steel leader or braid or you will lose a bunch.
  22. I myself would stay in the Gulf. I love fishing the Gulf side early and late. You never know what you are going to catch. Can't go wrong with a spoon. You can cast it a mile and everything out there will eat it. Just make sure you don't step on a ray while watching for the sharks. Had a black tip come up and check me out while fishing earlier this summer. It got within 10 feet before turning away.
