I was up there for a few minutes tonight just before dark. Taylor shoals is loaded with them. There is no doubt that they are in there thicker than the vehicles and boat trailers stacked in the Blunks parking area. Getting them to bite is a different story.
All of Spring is gonna happen this week. Crappie biting, white bass running, mushrooms popping, and youth Spring turkey season on Saturday. We've been waiting all winter for this.
I use to live in a subdivision in St. Peters that had 2 local ponds in the subdivision. Use to get a little fly fishing in just about every day. The blue gills in one pond averaged 8 inches. The other had 20+ pound grass carp in it. Those were a lot of fun on the fly rod.
Great report. Pretty much had the same results yesterday. Picked up a couple keepers at each brush pile then had to move on. Thanks for sharing. i thought about switching to 1/8 oz. jig several times yesterday when the wind was blowing, but stayed with 1/16.
