  1. RRV, Do you have a shutterfly/snapfish or any other image hositing account you can send it too? - If not, you can e-mail it to me, and I'll put it on my account, then just post it in this thread for yah. - It's no big deal at all for me, and I'm itchin' to see it too. - And in response to your earlier question. The replicas I've seen lately seem to be MUCH better than the ones I've seen in the past. (maybe just coincidense?) And although it's not THE actual fish, I like the idea of a replica better, that way the actual fish is still out there for someone else too enjoy.
  2. Great info guys. Thanks! - I do have a question for you guys. What should a novice night angler look for in line, so it's more visible with the black light? (my usual clear fluor/superlines I use during the day, don't 'glow' like I would like them too in the blacklight)
  3. I just thought I would bump this back up. I'm itching to hear if there are any new night fishing reports to speak of?
  4. Ddddddddddang SRV. Those are some great looking fish. Good for you guys, I hope to be back down in a few weeks for some similar results! - I saw a lot of night pix, any night fishing?
  5. Those are great pix rogue.............especially for only 90 minutes of being on the water. - I got a good chuckle out of the requirements of the wild-man with yah; that's too funny!
  6. No problemo Bill! - I didn't even know they made inline spinners?!?! They look fantastic. I definitely will have to pick up a few of those. They really are some of the best looking spinners I've seen. - I've always been a Mepps or PantherMartin guy, like you mentioned previously.
  7. Bill, I'll take a stab here, I know Terminator makes the Titanium spinnerbaits. They have an inline spinner too. Not sure if this is it? - http://www.terminatorlures.com/in-line_spi...n-line_spinner/ -
  8. I've yet to hire a guide,(but know several people who have) and from what I understand; ask around, and let the guides know what you want, and they can cater the day to your request. It sounds like a guide would be just the ticket for yah. It should really help make more productive use of your time on the water. - I think Don House is a Humminbird wiz, and actually has an option on his site about him teaching you about your Humminbird electronics. - http://www.bransonfishingguideservice.com/Rates.htm
  9. HHHhhholllllly............Cccccccrrrapppp! - That's insane!
  10. WooHoo! Great Pix! - This site is great for those of us hours away, to still get a feel for the daily action! - Almost as great as being there..................almost
  11. Dang danny, a limit of whites on an ultralite setup. That's a blast! Way to go!
  12. Hard to believe so few reports on the LOZ section, with so many people that fish it!
  13. Cool report Jessary! Be sure and let us know how you and your father do with them whites. Those times certainly are a blast!
  14. Great thread guys. I was going to start a night fishing thread myself here soon. - When we were down a few weeks ago, we did some night fishing, and it was great! I'm pretty new to the night fishing thing, but I'm thrilled to get back at it. - I look forward to hearing what others have to say. (I'll just be fishing for fun, so no threat to you night fishing tourney guys ) - Are there any particular 'ole standby' tactics you guys use at night? - I just started using what was working for me during the day, and had some success, so I stuck with it. Is there a better approach or direction I should go at night fishing?
  15. Went down yesterday out of PB2, fished the Glaize in several miles each direction. Got on the water around 7:00 a.m., and off about 2:00 p.m. Water temps about 63' ish. - Light to no wind with some rain in the morning, then a slight breeze picked up skies cleared a bit. - Catching crappie in sunken brush piles in small pockets along main channel. The visible brush piles didn't seem to produce, possibly they've been hammered by others before us. - Mentioning some of the small pockets off the main channel, the ones that are choked with driftwood and debris, held some nice crappie. We were casting right to the edge, or just beyond, and dropping weedless jigs down the edge of the junk and catching them. Holding the boat in about 15-20 feet of water, catching them in about 10 feet. - We were throwing a variety of colors of 2" tubes on 1/8 ounce jigheads, and a float and fly setup with maribous about 4 feet below the float. Just a twitch-twitch of the line every 5-10 seconds, slowly making its way back to the boat was working. - Saw lots of guys fishing with minnows, and a buddy of mine said the same; with better results around docks. We didn't go anywhere near any docks, or use dem minners. (but sounds like we should've ) - We didn't catch our limit, but still had a good time and caught some nice fish. - As for the Bass. The winds were calm in the morning, and there were schools of bait fish everywhere, and the bass were HAMMERING them. For hours, this went on. (reminded me of the flying sharks off the coast of south afrrica on television, where they break the surface, after charging from the depths for sea lions) I couldn't get within striking distance of any of them (but it woulod've been a snaep, they were everywhere!), as the guys with me were in crappie mode, and wanted to stick to the task at hand. But, if I were a betting man, anyone fishing for bass yesterday morning could've had a blast.
  16. Brian, did you get down to fish last weekend? - Let's hear it.
  17. - Brett, mrcold posted this in another thread I found helpful re: The Fin. - Thanks for the responses on the fins...for anyone looking for redfin info like I was: http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5942 http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7240 - Douglas

Awesome report mrcold. That sounds similar to the action we had down their a couple weekends ago. It was a HOOT! ..................literally. - My partner and I were chuckling out loud several times with the action. It was fantastic.
  19. Frenzel, You hit the nail on the head, it's fishing-not-catching. - I never understood the mentality of people who hire a guide and they seem to think the fish will jump in the boat. It's still fishing. And part of the fun is figuring out what's going to work, when and where. It's far sweeter catching fish on a pattern YOU figure out. - Anywho,.................Nathan, take a look at Jockey's previous posts; within 10 posts, he wants people to give him MORE info on catching fish, than the usual reports..............REALLY !?!?!?!??!. (I don't know of ANY other forum where anglers AND GUIDES, will give you as much info as you get here). He manages to call Babler a JackA$$, (then wants an apology for something Bill said) in the 'Protecting the Bass Population' thread (which will probably get edited now that I point this out), posts pix of bass he supposedly filleted that were caught at The Rock in a C&R discussion, and now badmouths a respected guide...........He's off to a real great start here. - What goes around, comes around.
  20. - dtrs, That made me chuckle. I'm with you on the fact that if people would do what they say they're gonna do........no problem. Taking people at their word, only to have the flop on yah; that's annoying. - And...............I was afraid that blade bite would'nt hold..............oh well...................it'll come back around........................I'll just have to wait a while.
  21. Good report, and even better pix! Dems is some dandys! - That tournament guy you were nose-to-nose with, that's one of those situations that would've irritated me too. What the heck!?!?!
  22. - -Good link mrcold I'm a redfin novice.! (helpful stuff)
  23. Dang snakem, fluke AND topwater bite..................I'm drooling!
  24. I'm sure you're already on top of this, but..................for what it's worth vacation, when we were down, we had to super slowwww roll the spinnerbait. Barely get those blades moving (so slow, they occasionally stopped, and we'd have to re-start 'em on the retrieve). My partner had a heckuva time reeling it in that slow, so his catch ratio was wwway lower. Any faster than super slow, and they wouldn't touch it. - I could never see my spinnerbait on the retrieve until it was at the boat, my partners was almost always visible on the retrieve. - But that's more of a history lesson now, things change so rapidly down there.
  25. - I like the idea of larger and smaller stickers. (One for the outboard and one for the trolling motor) - My 2 cents, I'd like to see the bass one look more like a smallie, but that's just me.
