  1. Is that a Wiggle Wart? Looks more like a Rebel Wee R or other Rebel model.
  2. I am going to have to agree with Mark here. I really don't understand the BPS bashing. I have NEVER had one bad thing to say about any of their employees or customer service. You can argue that their prices are higher on products than other places/retailers but that would be my only gripe and it is a small one IMO. Some of their products lack quality while others are very fine...which can be said about A LOT of companies/brands. I do not like Cabela's myself, their prices are just as high as BPS and stores seem sloppily ran. I've been in them a few times and stuff if just scattered around with poor organization if you ask me. Some of their isles look like a bargain bin or clearance section. Complaining that the weigh in is at a BPS location is silly. THEY ARE SPONSORS OF THE EVENT. THEY ARE PROVIDING THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THE TOURNAMENT.......A NEW Z8 BOAT! Why on Earth would they want the Kimberling City Inn or Ahoy's to host it??? Makes no sense at all. While I do understand that someone fishing way up the James or White has a gripe that it is a long haul to weigh in, you have to understand......no BPS sponsorship.....no tournament period. That is really the bottom line. For $150 buy in at a shot at a new 20' foot boat, nice hourly payouts, good people, good BBQ after fishing for the day and a chance to enjoy Table Rock even more than I already do when "fun fishing". Oh yeah and they give you a free rod? I love this event and will fish it as long as they come to TR. -Brett
  3. Its literally an extra 3 minutes away from where it was in the past at Big Cedar. Now its just at the old Gages Marina which is now the Bass Pro Long Creek Marina. I think it will be better since you won't have to idle all the way back to the Bent Hook Marina at Big Cedar to weigh in. I don't find it an issue at all.
  4. Anyone throw big flutter spoons on TR? The big 4-5" 1oz or more spoons? Like the Strike King Sexy Spoon type? Thinking of giving this technique a go sometime as it looks kinda fun and from what I hear puts some big fish in the boat. Thoughts?
  5. I use 10# Fluoro with my warts. V209 might be my favorite but also like V37 and V40. Something about orange seems to work better for me. Lots of guys like the v38 and v210 but I have never had much luck on either of those colors.
  6. Fished it with my brother last year. Didn't cash a check or anything but it was a great time and the BBQ they had at weigh in was dynamite. Great overall experience and will be fishing it again this year.
  7. Reading these 3 pages has now just made me dumber than I already am. Dear Lord. Please close this thread so I can regain brain function again.
  8. Hey guys, Was just fooling around on youtube and ran across a video of a pro who has basically the exact same setup as I have for my lure retriever. I got this tip about 3-4 years ago about the retractable dog leash and man has it ever paid off an then some so I thought I'd share with maybe someone who has never seen this or heard of it. Like the guy says in the video it pays for itself in about 2-3 baits saved using it. Maybe even 1 bait for all you megabass addicts. I highly recommend it and stores great since its small and compact with no line tangles. I use an old David Fritz lure gripper that is no longer in production but he has the hound dog which you can get just about anywhere. I think Jewel makes them now and you can get them with a simple google search. Anyways here is the video of the money saving contraption and one of the best tips I've ever had that actually worked:
  9. Warts sold PLEASE DELETE
  10. So cute your wife, kids and/or grandkids would love them under the tree come Xmas morning.......?????? lol. Thanks again for the tip on that other forum.
  11. Wow....don't get much bigger than that on Table Rock. AWESOME! Weight? Bait? Area of the Lake?
  12. SOLD. PLEASE DELETE.
  13. When does registration begin?
  14. Awesome report and really love when guys post pics of snapshots on their graphs. Thanks again and sounded like a good weekend for you and your buddy considering what we have seen from other guys posting about a rough go lately. Thanks again.
  15. Stacy King is getting in on the "Jika Rig" on Table Rock now: http://www.in-fisherman.com/2012/11/01/jika-rig-update/
  16. I have 2 of LEWS reels and they are very nice for the money. Was wondering if their rods are any good and if anyone here has used them? A brand that makes good reels doesn't necessarily translate to making nice rods so I thought I'd reach out for some opinions.
  17. 17lb Trilene XL for me. Throw a spittin' image 90% of the time for topwater and still can throw it a mile on the 17lb test so don't see the point in having the smaller diameter/lb test line. But as Champ said to each their own.
  18. What he said!
  19. Here is a video about using braid with topwater: http://www.wired2fish.com/fishing-in-the-wind--part-3-m17377 Just thought it fit nicely in this thread.
  20. Here is part 3: http://www.wired2fis...--part-3-m17377 Part 2 wasn't even worth watching or posting as it was basically just a plug for Hydrowave.
  21. What are your guys thoughts on this new deep diver? Applicable to Table Rock or sticking with the good ole' DT20's and DD22's? http://www.wired2fish.com/strike-king-introduces-the-10xd-officially-p17401
  22. I always fish around Dodo birds and never catch a thing. Looks like I am following the wrong birds.
  23. Sorry but these are sold. Please delete thread. Thanks.
  24. Big fan of the paca chunks. Great color options, size is perfect and action is great. Durable and don't really tear but they do come back missing a pincher on hook sets sometimes. Pretty cheap also at $2 a pack although I think you only get 8 in a pack. Either way its all I use anymore as a jig trailer unless I size up to something bigger.
  25. Thinking about upgrading my top water gear. Suggestions? Would like to keep the rod in the $100 or less range. Prefer pistol grip but not married to it. What are you guys using? Length, etc would help.
