went sat afternoon, bite wasnt as good as the springtime bite but still brought home almost a limit of whites and hybrids, caught on white sliders, not alot of water running but enough for a couple of my spots, if they shut it off i suppose the bite will end too.
you know looking at that picture it looks like he might have had to take a leak, there is a tree right there, i used to pull my old 16 foot richline up like that when i had to go
O 3 is a pretty good place to get whites and hybrids, KK island is at times great for whites and sometimes walleye rattletraps, crankbaits trolled is our method
three of us fished sat. limited in about 4 hours with whites but had to work for them, some good ones many small that went back, they were runnig water but not a ton,
daughter gets first shot, as we sit together, last year 2 does came up as she was ready to pop the 2nd, ( it was bigger) 10 pointer came in behind and shooting for taste went out the window, it now hangs in her livingroom, but yes the first usually goes down.
shaker, you said that those vibronics dont twist your line, have you trolled them? roostertails dont twist too bad until you troll them then they make an absolute mess.
fished sat and a few hours sun, not great but pretty good,4 of us ended up with 72, not really on the bank, mostly males in about 4-8 feet, we were on the glaize arm.
try 3 inch jerk bait, or swimming minnows along the mouth of that slough on the banks all the way back to the warsaw ramp. the jerks caught walleyes, hybrids, whites, even decent crappie at times. then your occational freakin gar.
My little black book shows we caught 3 limits onMarch 15 last year water temp was 48 they seem to come in pretty early there, water running or not, didnt make much difference.
daughter didnt get to hunt sat as she had to work, but she got to hunt sun. and took a really nice 10 pointer, not huge but very pretty rack, having it mounted for her. i then took a doe mon. evening, all in webster county.
