The wife and I got to Stockton about 0930 and left at 1230 .. dragging Flickers we got 4 crappie (3=11.5", 1=12.25"); one walleye = 17.25" ; one white = @ 2lbs; and a smallmouth = 8".. We were working the windy side of secondary points in 15-16 foot of water... I could post the pictures of the empty plate, after supper, but that would be mean....

Just before dark, usually you can pick up a walleye,or two, off the east end of the dam... Late Feb, when they are spawning you can limit out in 15 minutes... Look at your map, or the link above, and you can see the drop-off..

Thanks to you !!! we trolled for about 30 mins and I remembered what you had posted about letting the minnow set for 20-30 seconds.. that's when we started getting the hits....

We were fishing that deep.. some hits came on the bottom but, most came 2-3 foot off the bottom; close to a point...

Neighbor & I went to Stockton today 11am-2pm..We got 12ea 11-13 inch crappie and 3ea walleye and turned loose 2ea 16 inch Largemouth... All on minnows and 15-25 foot deep.. Thanks for the heads up on what depth...

Wow..I wish I lived close to the LOZ ... I was a "certified" Chevy mechanic at 15 and had my own small outboard (25hp and under) back in 73-76.. It would be nice to pick up some extra cash; as how SS 0.03 cost of living last year wasn't enough to buy a new spool of mono-line !!!!

If you look at a few posts and the "rank" of the posters -- you will notice that the more that you interact with the board ( posting, commits, etc) you will see the higher the number of post and the reputation number equals a bigger fish.. Phil If I'm wrong please correct !!!

My "ton" is down to about a 1/2 ton... Every time I pointed out an area on the lake - Hammer told me what i was about to say... Don't let Hammer fool you about his fishing knowledge.. He has more time on the various waters than most,fishing Stockton, have been alive..... Good trip... With "Bluebird" skies it was tough...

Before you go off "the deep end"(?).. Go to YouTube and put in "Stockton, lake MO".. There are videos on fishing the lake and how to filet different types of fish...

A battery will only last a short time on it's own... You have to PM the batteries to get the max life out of them.. As I said before I use Wally-World batteries and I always get 6-7 years form them BUT, I check and refill the fluid level as needed at lease twice a year and clean/tighten the terminals as needed... And the MOST importantly, I NEVER leave them in a partially discharge state over night !!!! The first thing I do, after unhooking the boat is plug in the battery charger... The Worst thing for a battery is to set in a less than full charge..

You can run up to the bridges IF you are running an AIR or DUCK boat !!!!!!
