  1. I bet we are alike in that 50' boats are only in our dreams and they have us on the back fighting a fish of a life time .
  2. Agree on everything. I was just pointing out the cost of boat ownership. Most people aren't prepared for the TRUE cost of boat ownership that comes with the enjoyment (which you have and I have). I like you feel for these folks because their cost assciated with the amount of enjoyment just went way up (great big deductible and a damaged boat albeit repaired to sell in the future). I don't think getting a 50' cruiser out for the winter is an option for most folks.
  3. The news report on KY3 was $.5 million dollars damage. Boat ownership sucks. Use a guide, rent a fishing boat or a pleasure boat. You will always be money ahead.
  4. I believe kickoff is not until 6:20.
  5. Thanks for your almighty enlightenment into how government works.
  6. Yes located in the back by the wall. I was out priced as well. Seemed to be a good inventory of high powered hunting rifles.
  7. Any info on landing related docks or Pro Bass Docks?
  8. JD: Do you or anyone else shy away from shooting lead in a Ruger .22 I read on teh internet that it stays in the barrel rifling somehow. Is this true?
  9. First of all I will take no orders from you. I had about five seconds on my hand and wanted to entertain myself so here. Southern Waterfowl Zone dates over and over each year. Southern Waterfowl zone area over and over each year. Middle Waterfowl zone area over and over each year. Middle Watefowl Zone dates over and over each year. Oh and voicing opposition to the reintroduction of the river otter. You can read all about this wonderful decision. http://www.smallmouth.org/MissouriOtters.html
  10. As an update for those of you who care. I want the Sig P220 and found one at the gun show here in springfield saturday. I actually found one that a friend's dad owned and he happens to have accumulated 4 of them. I just could part with $550 right now. My commercial property tennant gets behind each year and won't catch up until March. Gives me something to look forward to. I know this is off my origianl subject, but has anyone seen or know anything about these .223 rifles made in Fayette MO. They convert to a .22 in about 30 seconds and I think I want one of them. Tactical or assult rifles you choose, but I want one and at $1,000 I will also be buying one in March. Any suggestions for the members on this type of weapon would be appreciated.
  11. I just can't seem to stay away from this post. You are calling people who post on here "morons", and "idiots". Surely you can make a point without insulting people who have a right to post on here. As for MDC listening. They felt major backlash on this and obviously some stuff hurled at walls doesn't stick. Now I will leave it up to you to figure out what I reference, because it is exactly what they were trying to pass to the people. If this country keeps raising taxes, fees on the people and the people can't or won't pay it we will be deep into the same stuff. I couldn't be any happier that this crap went nowhere. I can provide you plenty of instances where sitting down and talking to these folks has gone absolutly nowhere.
  12. That is one awesome boat. Good luck on your research. You website is very nice as well and I will be checking it out frequently.
  13. Charity thing sounds good. Or if you want some money put it on Craig's list.
  14. Just got through reading it and also metioned is one great guy. Lamar Patton of the famous http://www.scottystroutdock.com/ Lamar also rents boats and is full of fishing advice. I also buy that lovely ethanol free gas he sells.
  15. I thought that life had a 20-80 rule. You wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time. You use 20% of your house 80% of the time. Use 20% of your fishing poles 80% of the time. Throw 20% of your lures 80% of the time. And so on. Leave it to fishermen to be pompus enought to elevate themselves to an 10% 90% rule. Unbelievable. I call Bulllll S....... on most of you. Good to know some are sooo much better than the rest of us. Maybe if you are that good you can just stay home and discuss all the fish you woulda caught and save that precious 10% of the lake for the rest of us poor souls. Or if I fish a tournament you can give me 90% of the tournament and you can just fish 10% of the time. You know to make it equal and all.
  16. I was afraid of that. Just waiting to see what would bite (no pun)
  17. Come on JD. It's the NRA scaring people into buying guns and ammo not Obama.
  18. Thanks for the report Bill. We all aren't professionals and appreciate any extra help so we can take a 10 year old and an 8 year old out and catch some fish. As I write 100 or so of us dads are stampeding down there right now.
  19. Welcome!
  20. Remington 870 is what I would recommend. You can get a turkey express with an 18 inch barrell. Later if you want to hunt other birds all you have to do is get a longer barrell not another gun.
  21. JD: Can you get these with Insulation as well? When you are up at 4:30 a.m. heading to the blind the last thing I want to do is spend 15 mins putting on 5 layers of stuff. I am going to upgrade my neoprene this year to something, just not sure what and I am sure I will wait until spring/summer and snatch up a bargin. One more question for the guys that stand in the water all morning long. Does the material still transpire moisture out when you have them submerged in the water for extended periods of time?
  22. I take my chainsaws to Race Bros on West Kearney. If the compression is good you might not have to invest too much in it. Good Luck.
  23. Help me understand what good neoprene booties attached to the bottom of breathable waders are? Everytime I go out the only moisture coming out of my body is my feet and that is where I would want "breathable". Do people actually pay upwards of $699 for waders? How about some Simms underware as well?
  24. Very Funny. Thanks.
  25. Came straight out of the Conservation Magazine January 2009. The amount of dollars from their annual budget for enforcement is only $13,879,942 (8%) and $171 million is their annual budget. I guess I had taken out federal grants to come up with $167. How do you feel about such minimal funding for agents?
