  1. Teeny craw/swimming lure during the summer, jigs during the winter..
  2. Yes, you can fish the river whenever you like.. There's a sign at the end of the park (confluence with river) that designates what is and isn't "the Park", but it's pretty obvious. Lodging? Sand Springs is RIGHT there, so that is a time honored suggestion, but they're all about the same, I spose. Yes, they are light biters, these smallies that aren't there.. Yes, I fish by feel, yes I fish the bottom, yes I catch more rocks than fish.. Sure, you can use split shot instead. And, for the record, I am a fly fishing hack, I usually have my ultralight and a jig out by noon, if not before..
  3. Das a big crappie!!!!
  4. Oh, and the "feral hillbillies" ain't fish... Some folk just call em locals.
  5. I think he's referring to me.. But he's mistaken, I talk a mean game but (I repeat) there are NO smallmouth in the deep holes in Zone three.. They certainly don't bite on slow moving streamers.. And you may as well leave the big fat leeches and sink tip line at home... Cause there's no smallies down there!! :big_silly_wink: Oh, and if you see anyone down there stringin em up, grab the nearest blunt object and whack em over the head with it! (the fisherman, not the fish)
  6. Ain't no smallies in BSSP, only feral hillbillies.... STAY AWAY!! Oh, and good luck!!
  7. I see another problem... It let Ness back in!!!!
  8. They may prefer to see Al paint a picture.. (won't take as long) Wish I could attend, sounds cool.
  9. They didn't say anything about me?
  10. Looks like a mighty good deal!
  11. sometimes that's what it takes! lol
  12. Awe, poor lil fella... I'm lucky with respect to the fact that I've never been able to justify the expense of the upgrade from rubber to felt...
  13. You wouldn't have that problem if you'd just continue on down river to a spot where the wind can't get to you... My problem with jig fishing for bass is that I can't keep the daggum trout off of it! (there.. Is that better?)
  14. Well ain't you a sweetheart?!? No, I was merely responding to your lament that this thread has X views and no comments. I read your post (because i read everything) but just didn't have anything meaningful to add to the discussion. I assume you'd prefer I had rattled off some non-sense about how the jig bit is kinda off, but the power air bite is on? :grouch:
  15. I am a jig fisherman but I don't fish this lake, sorry I didn't reply.
  16. Oh, I'll have a rope tied to that bad boy.. That way, in the off chance that you conquer the dam, we can still deposit you in the drink to get our chuckles...
  17. There are, in fact, a limited number of ways of finding that out...
  18. http://www.riverrunoutfitters.com/meet-our-team/jim-lund/ This ugly cat?
  19. Sounds perfect!! (poor retarded kids, we're always getting picked on)
  20. I'm seeing a GoPro video in the making.. We'd need someone who knows the oars, with a low center of gravity.. Maybe someone who's pasty, gingery complexion would be easy for the rescue team to spot in the murky depths below the dam.. Know anyone?
  21. And to whom shall I have them mail the ticket? lol
  22. "No Limit Walleye" Again, I was expecting a rap or something... Severely dissappointed!!
  23. I knew he saw me coming... Wonder if they'll let me drift this thing through zone three?
  24. Yeah, I figure if I fill the toons with water it'll make a great flower planter!!
  25. I'm yer huckleberry.. Just mark that one to me, I'll catch you up on the $250, I've been faunchin over that thing since I first paddled it.. Tell your daughter she can borrow it whenever she likes.
