  1. What is best way to powder paint on a budget? I am heating head with torch...then dip in paint...then back to heat and re-dip a couple times...then on a rack in a toaster oven...but I'm getting coneheads with paint...think I'm dipping them too much? Should I just dip once?

    Crappie Reports?

Ya....ice box went private a couple years ago....ponderous is still there and good at times. It is a great way to spend a cold day with your kids...I hope the few remaining stay open...my brother caught a 26lb buffalo in one once when we were kids...you talk about pandemonium.

    Crappie Reports?

Crappie docks are fun...but it depends on the crowd...Indian hills is great with the cafe but it gets smoky. we haven't been this year as much as we did last year. I like blue bluff probably the best...I hope the few public docks on grand stay open...but I'm afraid they will go the way of the dodo bird. We usually bring a catfish rod and fish it outside...the kids always seem to catch shad so we use that for bait. The rod tips and roof sure take a beating when I'm down there...I started using an ice fishing rod last year...pretty fun. And I didn't piss off the neighbors so much
  4. Thanks for the help...$2.45 and 4 days later...gun is good as new. Thank you
  5. https://loz.craigslist.org/boa/d/2000-smokercraft/6471330130.html I know this isn't a gigging boat...but I think this would be a good fit for you... Would be stable...wouldn't have to crawl over benches...and wife wouldn't have to bring her chair Looks like a crappie and catfish catching machine. I hope you end up with another boat...sure beats fishing off the bank
  6. Sounds like things are looking up then...
  7. Reminds me of an old George Jones song...living and dying..by the choices I've made. And then there this new classic... I ain't rich BUt I darn sure wanna be Working like a dog all day, ain’t working for me I wish I had a rich uncle that’d kick the bucket And that I was sitting on a pile like Warren Buffett I know everybody says Money can’t buy happiness But it could buy me a boat, it could buy me a truck to pull it It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets Yeah, and I know what they say Money can’t buy everything Well, maybe so, But it could buy me a boat They call me redneck, white trash and blue collar But I could change all that if I had a couple million dollars I keep hearing that money is the root of all evil And you can’t fit a camel through the eye of a needle I’m sure that’s probably true, But it still sounds pretty cool 'Cause it could buy me a boat, it could buy me a truck to pull it It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets Yeah, and I know what they say, Money can’t buy everything Well, maybe so, But it could buy me a boat To float down on the water with a beer I hear the Powerball Lotto is a-sitting’ on a hundred mill Well, that would buy me a brand new rod and reel And it could buy me a boat, it could buy me a truck to pull it It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets Yeah, and I know what they say, Money can’t buy everything Well, maybe so, But it could buy me a boat Yeah, and I know what they say, Money can’t buy everything Well, maybe so, But it could buy me a boat It could buy me a boat
  8. I ordered one...I guess we'll see if I am smart enough to put it back together on thursday
  9. I tried the ballpoint pin spring...too big a round to fit thru the hole. Deadstream...if you can figure it out...I'd make it up to you somehow...let me know
  10. I voted buy the boat...that one in the picture looked perfect...I'd try to get it back...why did you ever sell it?
  11. I fish them quite a bit at grand for whites...I like just the basic white 1/4 ounce...they sure make the line twist up. Im sure if you put a good swivel a foot above it would help
  12. Thank you...I found a owners manjual on-line for the new model...and it lists a base pin spring. I assume the old model is the same. I will try midway and see if they have one. It is a cool gun...I traded the walther for it...going to give it to my son.
  13. the screw that holds the pin that holds the cylinder in fell out...now the pin slides even if not pushed in...on my single six...it feels like it's spring loaded. This one doesn't. The screw is two pieces...one side is a pin...and the other is almost like a nut...but looks similar to the other side (one in picture) I put it back together but it isn't right...the screw is sloppy and allows the pin to slip in and out. Anybody have any experience with an old bearcat? I'm not very mechanical...Thanks
  14. Can't fish above housemans with just the permit
  15. Where are those pits? I don't know of any that are cheap...50 years ago...yes. But in today's world...I think you'll struggle to find a bargain on strip pit land
  16. Call in the dogs...and piss on the fire...the hunts over...gun has been traded. Thanks
  17. I'm not looking for a collectors item...I like to squirel hunt with 22 pistol...and plan to give my oldest the single six. So an old ruger or browning buckmark...or a woodsman...or another single six would be fine...just want a fairly long barrel on it...let me know...thanks
  18. I've had it quite a few years...it's black and it is in good shape. It is particular about ammo but with cci or similar...cycles good. I would like to trade for a ruger mark 1 or an old woodsman...I could sweeten the pot a little if needed
  19. Man...that is a long ways to go in a boat? Well...at least my boat. What kind of boat are you running?
  20. Ya, I agree bass pro is way over priced... When you add in shipping and tax...it is way too high...I get a small gift card every year for Christmas...and can barely bring myself to spend it on-line. I shop cabelas bargain cave on-line quite a bit for clothes...I hope they keep it going. Quality stuff at a great price. I think cabelas house brand clothes are much better than bps branded
  21. I just sent you a text...I'll buy them. Not sure where we can meet up but those look perfect for me and the boy...thanks
  22. But none in the bag...seemed like wave after wave of high flyers in the Asbury area today. We tried for a bit this morning but no luck...we did see a lot of all types of wildlife from the road...I guess the weather change turned everything on. Picture is just some birds in the air while we were driving around...I doubt they'll show up very clearly...but there sure were a lot of birds in Barton county today
  23. Good on You for helping someone...take some with you...fill the lawn mower can up...and take it to boat bring a bunch of gas...and go way up the river this time of year though
  24. I'm not a super duper fisherman...but your baits look fine to me....but I doubt you do much on the buzz bait. Check out the map section up top...it will give you general areas to fish...I would probably fish bluff ends in the main lake the most...with the crank bait or drop shot. The end of bluff across from big m has always been good.
  25. Depends on your budget...but might be able to stay at roaring river in the lodge...im not 100 percent sure they're open in winter but they're nice rooms...close to eagle rock. Good luck to the boys and good job getting the youth active in fishing
