  1. I’m not sure what screws you mean...I went out and looked at it tonight...I saw these two down at the bottom...are they the screws you mean? but then I saw this oil leak...is it something to worry about? I’ve never noticed it before thanks
  2. sounds like fun....Hope you whackem Maybe we can meet some other time. I’m almost back to the office....but could probably meet about 515 or so one day thru the week. I’d sure like to have them. they would be a nice upgrade for my xi5. thanks
  3. If still available. I’d like to have them. The boy could meet you at hoods on the way back to school tomorrow Early afternoon...if ok i think I still have your phone number thanks
  4. If you decide to rattle can it...I like the krylon better than rustoleum...can get the krylon camo at Lowe’s. Krylon sticks better....doesn’t scratch as easily.
  5. Cool... thanks for the tip. I’ll look at it and see if I can figure it out...thanks
  6. I probably wouldn’t use it five times a year...so probably just keep what I got. thanks for the advice.
  7. It’s a 1970 18hp...electric start...but I don’t want to sell it. Was on my wife’s dads old richline v bottom. I’ll probably just hang onto it...reverse is going out of it
  8. He Also has 208 15hp Honda long shaft...electric start for 1500. Which on would you buy? Replacing an old evinrude on a 1436...duck boat. We usually use the big motor at Stockton... do you think the long shaft is anything to worry about on a small boat?
  9. I Found a 2015 short shaft pull start...for 1000 bucks anybody have any experience with one? Thanks
  10. I’m absolutely worn slick...still tired 2 days later. martys layout blinds have been good to us...but time to upgrade. I bit the bullet and ordered two invisilay blinds from Rogers yesterday...last years model is on sale. it doesn’t make sense to try and buy layout boats for all of us. I’ve got a final attack we can bring if the youngest goes with us. will use the boat to get in...then setup the blinds...then hide the boat...and hunt out of the blinds. next year we’ll be more ready for them good luck when you go...have fun
  11. The birds really wanted in pool 4...bunch birds in 2a too on the way out. we should’ve stayed at the Apache and made a weekend out of it...but hindsight is 20/20
  12. If we were better callers...we might’ve finished more of them than we did. But we’re timid with the calling....once they start dropping...we kind of stop calling
  13. It was a good day...We were in pool 3...busted a bunch out on the way in...about 3/4 of them were teal we thought. We went all the way to the back of it...busting skim ice as we went. It’s pretty bare back there but we did our best. there were 14 jillion birds of all types in the air...but there is a slew of mallards. we were able to get some of them to finish. But a lot would circle a couple times...cup their wings...and look like they were going drop right in the hole...then they’d either get scared off by someone else shooting or just lose interest and be gone...then we’d say...dang...should’ve shot. the teal never worked the decoys. We hunted out of the boat the first couple of hours....then picked up and moved 100 yards away from the boat and onto marsh seats...it was probably a little better off the marsh seats...but not nearly as comfortable. We picked up at 1. we’re up north tomorrow...and planning to take the layout blinds. I know a good place we can use them in our pool tomorrow Highlight of the day was a lone snow goose...might have been a juvenile. They’re not as big on the ground as they appear in the air.
  14. Thanks for the well wishes... It’s anything but a flood this year...was dry as a popcorn fart early...but I think it’s gotten better. We haven’t been but I think north will be good...by the clubhouse is still low I think
  15. Unit 1 and 2
  16. Got the boat inside and blind up...the ponds aren’t frozen today in rich hill area...and 40 degree days...and 25 degree nights are predicted from now thru weekend...hopefully it’ll be ok
  17. Thanks for replying...We’re at 4rivers both days...so hopefully be ok. I need to get the boat inside and Blind dried out today...before it freezes.
  18. when it rains it pours...we drew near the clubhouse on Saturday...and up north Sunday. anybody been lately? son goes back to school when finished Sunday so hoping to make a memory...
  19. If you can read that cryptic little book...you should sit for the bar exam...if not...pay your twelve bucks and go on
  20. Buy the license online...it’s pia to get at Walmart or wherever. They all act like they’re put out by selling you a license...don’t have to print them..keep your conservation card on you like a drivers license
  21. I don’t know tho...so consider the source
  22. The permits expire 2/28...so as long as you have current permit you’re good. If first coming into system you could save money by waiting until end of February
  23. Yes...in your scenario. They would need to buy a 2020 permit. I think you can buy 2021 permit anytime...just the active date isn’t til March 1st. In other words you basically buy anytime in December to February but not active til March 1st

Devan..you never caught a muskrat? Heck that’s almost like a rite of passage. I hope you get one this year... i don’t mean that bad...but shoot I remember catching them when I was young...just a teenager in the creek behind my parents house. Best thing about a muskrat is how easy they are to skin...good luck
  25. That’s a cool description...good job
