  1. I went out and took some...I Used one section of ladder...cut to width bed frame feet welded to that set the height welded tabs to front...and drilled 2 holes thru the original front storage area...and lag bolted thru it the top is .100 aluminum I bought from a local fabricator scrap pile. my main deal was I wanted it to be removable because boats primarily used for duck hunting so trolling motor and the deck extension are easily removed The extra 22 inches The extension gives makes a world of difference when fishing
  2. I made a front deck extension out of a deer stand ladder per Fishinwrench’s suggestion...works like a champ
  3. You could’ve been the prize winner...but now we’ll never know
  4. Do you have pics of the minijet? Sounds like a cool boat...and it would be one heck of a ride...thanks
  5. Did you catch anything? That’s a pretty great part of the world...haven’t fished it much in the heat of summer but there are times that it is pretty good
  6. Gotta boat and don’t want to use it...pretty weak...come on man! go splash that bad boy in...it can handle the waves those wakeboats won’t be out in the timber...pick a ramp with some standing timber around it...and have at it post some pics

    Break It Down

I would keep it simple and fish the creek channel edge...with a Tx rig worm...looks like the trees are old and dead. So cover is on the bottom. if you think the trees are intact...still fish creek channel edge...but I would use a jig and trailer...pitch it out past the tree and Pull it back to you...drop it straight down. The fish are most likely suspended in the branches. A bluegill color might be good. A fluke works good on fish suspended in tree tops too fish should be in that creek all year long...You can drag up shallow on the left side in the spring and fish moving baits over there With spinnerbaits and crankbaits in fall. fish the bluff or 45 degree side in the summer/winter with a jig in the summer you’d be better off fishing a bank that is shaded...I think the creek channel is the key...follow it to the depth...just like the bass do
  8. You can absolutely fly on a road bike
  9. I got so fired up...I put socks on today...first time in about 2 months... I got the bike out of the barn...aired up the tires...and rode down the hill and up the other side....took a pretty good break...and came back wearing a helmet to me is like wearing a life jacket...Don’t need it til you need it...and I am much more relaxed about a life jacket. On my old road bike...I would get up to 40/45 mph at least. shoot...I bet tonight I was doing 35...and i was choking the brake...it’s a big hill between here and the highway
  10. I wouldn’t ride to the stop sign down the street without a helmet...
  11. Gloves help a ton...a lot of your weight Is on your hands when you are riding...the palms are padded to help offset. Changing out the grips...and bar ends will help a lot too you can buy cycling shorts with the padding that aren’t the spandex type at academy or any bike shop...can get in a cargo Short style
  12. Hodges marine in Florida has fast shipping to this area...I think it’s due to allegiant air
  13. A buddy has a scabbard on his enduro...it’s a Kolpin I think...hard plastic. Not sure if it would interfere with pedaling tho https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/atv-gun-mounts-boots ya...looks like one of kids old sleds back there...got two radio flyers out there too. we live on a hill. Pretty good sledding when the boys were little in the neighbors backyard
  14. Mine is an old trek 990...ive had it 25 years...bought new here in Joplin Bike is all original except the tires, bar ends and grips. Has shimano Deore xt components...was a nice bike in its day...I think it’s still cool...I need to start riding it again. I prefer a road bike...but I let a buddy borrow mine after his knee surgery and haven’t seen it since...kind of a bummer now that I think about it.
  15. All the wires from the back run into this black deal...and from there go up to the console. I assume they’re inside that top cap I watched a video that was basically saying I should tape extra Rope to other transducer wire...and pull it to the back...and then tape the new wire to that...and then pull it all back to console...does that sound right? or is there an easier way? thanks
  16. Oh I know you make it work...but wish it was better for you so you could get that boat in the water
  17. I don’t think sportsters are anything special at all...my buddy that was into harleys called them dirt bikes...the softail is the classic Harley in my mind...but I don’t like the look...or the lifestyle for that matter I’d probably stay away from the Chinese enduro...and try to get another klr. The Versys looks pretty cool too. I’m still a couple years out from my dream motorcycle trip...But I hope to go west at some point when we were in Yellowstone we met this German couple that was riding their bmw from Alaska to Argentina. That just sounds cool...I’d sure like to give it a try someday
  18. Sounds like you’re in a hell of a shape...I hate to hear that it’s not improving much...I Hope your arm gets better soon...I’m excited to hear some fishing and hunting stories. Besides...It’s going to get cold soon...you need to be able to cut wood...if you need help holler.
  19. one of those boards Sounds like a good idea....I’ll check into that everything I read says try to get transducer in the middle...but that’s not going to happen on my boat...too small I usually try to fish down the right had side...so I think that the side scan...will allow me to choose one side to scan...might be eliminating some water by only looking at one side...but I can’t see very good closeup...so I think I’ll get a bigger picture if only looking at one side not planning on using side scan while on plane...so I think that it would be fine out there on the edge so to speak. I’d like to get some sort of protection for it...gonna google around on that idea i wasn’t sure about the interference but I can handle turning one off to use the other if it creates a problem...I was worried it might mess something up Internally or something thanks
  20. Yes sir...Thank you for the Simrad I’m hoping to put it at the console but not sure if I have enough room for two big ole honking transducers on the transom. The existing one is a Garmin...I’m not sure if there would be interference between the two transducers or if the totalscan will catch enough water if I put it out to the side a little I put some photos...probably not the best place to ask the question...but when in rome
  21. That’s the way I am...and why I sold mine i only wanted to ride mine when I shouldn’t have been riding it...and I rode it way too fast. I don’t like harleys...I’m more of a metric guy. I’d like to buy a klr or something similar and take it to Alaska via a dirt road...maybe some day
  22. I hear ya...That’s that boat mechanic of mine...and why I always say I wish you lived closer its a good setup...I think it’s worth the money
  23. Cool...looks good do you use a brush? Or airbrush? What Brand paint?
  24. Nice fish...Let’s see a picture of the spook...I’ve always wanted to try it
