  1. I was just kidding about backsies. You were too close go my guess. ;-p
  2. Yep he's a Legend all in his own. Lol Yep, that's Joe in the Legend Alpha 211. We named her "The Beast". Beautiful orange, white and a little black. She's a great boat.
  3. He keeps saying this. I don't ask. I just accept and enjoy the fishing.
  4. Ugh ugh Uhh!! No backsies!! LOL
  5. If winning weights from locals was 26-32lbs, subtract about 18% and that will be what the Elites find. Someone will stumble upon a winning pattern that will amaze us all. They always do. It's the classic......there is no pressure higher than this. 71.34lbs (repeating of course) That's my guess for winning weight. Then if you throw in the KVD wild card factor, (because he's KVD)... the winning weight would be 76.34lbs. There......I'm locked in.
  6. Nope. I don't think so anyway. Might have been. Looked like a centepede with little legs.
  7. Here is what I thought was a parasite. If it's not, what the heck is it? I love my Christmas gift. A cleaning table! I might need a bigger one.... Lol!
  8. The man hug was for my brother from another mother. :-). I missed the old coot and hadn't seen him in a while. Always gotta love the family. As for the "squatch" shown above, I had my hood from my hoodie, hood from jacket, knit hat, and face mask on so I do look a bit "blue squatch". Nice and round is my shape. Lol! But hey, my H20 Express rain suit bibs and parka keep me dry and warm. Although the ride south this morning was chillier than nomal with the humidity up. Scott, mine didn't have a single shad in it's gullet or belly. I did find a parasite though. Which explains why belly was empty. Well......I think it was a parasite anyway. I'll have to upload a photo. No joke about both rods loading up. It was like someone shot a starting pistol and both rods laid back like we had snagged a tree. I figured it was a 6-8lb walleye but both of us had 15-20lb stripers. Scott's crossed over my line and as much as we tried to separate them, his broke loose. Mine didn't want to give up and stayed down for a while. Fun times! Two nice big fillets are soaking in the frig now. Champ......there are two less stripers in Beaver. You're welcome. I'll do my best to thin the heard. Lol!
  9. Mine is in my mother-IN-LAWS garage. I don't care if she does scrape ice every morning! Hahaha!! She doesn't by the way. But it's the thought that counts.
  10. Or aerator intske. I had mine crack on me in winter waters. It was old and needed replacing. As wrench said "plumbing". Faulty plug is a possible cause as well. Brass screw type or rubber friction plug?
  11. OOOoooohhhhhhhh.................................................. My bad. Well I think mine could still qualify as "split squeezins" LOL!
  12. Never heard of him but I'm now Googling everything I can! (I haven't been into bass fishing but only about 10yrs now so I'm still learning) Definitely interested now! Here's an interesting resource of info/photos. https://www.facebook.com/RayoBreckenridge
  13. This is "split squeezins" View from bottom side of hull When your hull has a split that's allowing water to squeeze in little by little. Luckily, I used West Marine's fiberglass epoxy repair products which is as strong as steel (modulas of elasticity = 36,000psi). Which simply means it takes 36,000 pounds per square inch to make the epoxy resin and fiberglass mix to pull apart beyond it's limits. View from top side of hull: Here is a view of the fine woven glass layers (3 layers min) laid over the "peanut butter" fill (poly-fill with resin mix) I have an "after" view from bottom side somewhere. It basically shows a 3/4" wide fill of epoxy resin & poly-fill mix which hardened in about 15mins. I have beat this boat to death in choppy water last summer. I drive it fast and hard on choppy water unless it's unsafe and then I slow down. I had to remind myself, "she's 35yrs old....take it easy on her" several times. To this date, the repair has held up. I honestly think my repair is the single strongest part of the boat now. Simply put...........I believe in West Marine's system. It's bad stuff!!!
  14. My thoughts exactly. Give them a chance to explain. Then tell them off. Lol
  15. In most lakes it's called "dinner" (if you're a predatory fish). If you're a striper, it's called "Candy"
  16. Yep. Gizzard.

Agreed. A new ramp or something would be an improvement. The weather was terrible and a cold front rolled in the night before I was there this fall. Our company rented the entire park for a company retreat. I found a lot of fish where I suspected they would be by using a contour map. A lot of crappie but the wind was too strong for bobbed fishing and I wasn't having a lot of luck trolling. It was a short trip anyway. I did find out I can use my big motor. I was excited about that. I'll be trolling it again this spring. :-)
  18. Well that's where I will be on a vacation day coming SOON!! LOL
  19. Now that's straight up ice right there. Tis is for the warning. Even though I was not planning the trip, someone else may have. I would like to get up there this spring though. Never been. I hear it's a nice lake to fish.
  20. I have not tried that. I bet it could work but downriggers would be a must to get it below 15-20ft and fish it affectively. With downriggers, you can keep it within 50ftof the boat and sweep the points on main lakes where the bass are grouped up in summer. O bet that thing could catch some good sized ones. When I'm trolling, I'm food hunting. I leave Ole Green-jeans alone and get irritated when I catch a bass. Lol! My mind is on table fare.
  21. 40-60 degree water works best. After that, they start to feel like they've had Hitler's Luftwaffe bombarding them for months and they grow tired of it. That's what I've been told anyway. I think Old Plug is correct though. They can work all year if a pattern is established.
  22. You guys need serious hydro-therapy. Delerium has fully set in!!
  23. PLEASE PHIL............ Pull the plug!!! It's way past "hi-jacked".
  24. I really enjoyed the article about the salty finesse rig. Definately going to give it a try this year. I think Im going to start dragging all plastics this year. I was already thinking about that earlier and this just confirmed my suspicions and thoughts.
  25. "You drinkin my saki Kemosabe?"
