  1. I have jersey that I wear when I go fishing. Legend is on the front because that is the boat I have. Joe is on the front in case I forget my name, I guess? Ryals across the back because, well, I never have understood the last name on the back deal... Highland Park Fish Camp logo is on the back. Because that's my family in Florida, and they are guilty of infusing this dang obsession in me in the first place. I have a Legend sticker on my back glass of the Tahoe as well. Am I sponsored? You bet - my wife loves me enough that she not only recognizes that I work hard for our family; but also understands that looking forward to tournaments is, sometimes, about all I have to get me through tough weeks at work. I feel better now, back to your regularly scheduled program already in progress
  2. There were LOTS of boats that went past me, and that's where I was
  3. Get thee behind me, Satan.....
  4. Talk to Brynn (She's my cousin that runs it for her Daddy and Uncle). Tell her cousin Joe Ryals said that you'd have a blast down there and I bet she takes care of ya.
  5. You are NOT helping....
  6. The cold down here in Springdale (AR) got to me last night, too.... I am not real sure what a "Triggerfish Lure" top water thingie is, but I sure as heck bought a couple online e last night LOL!!
  7. Here we are :-) Last August
  8. My cousins own the Highland Park Fish Camp in DeLand, FL. It's about an hour from Orlando. Bass fishing on St. Johns (Dead Norris / Woodruff / Glenwood) is a lot of fun! I'll dig up the bug girl from last summer and put on here iin a bit
  9. Chartreuse hand grenades / red/white striped dynamite. Hard to beat either
  10. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Kalins_Sizmic_Grub/descpage-KSG.html I like the Kalin's Sizmic grub better than any grub I've ever used. Two most successful colors have been the K Shad and Southern Shad It's so versatile for me: Split Shot (Mojo) Rig: I use the larger size with a 3/0 hook on 15lb braid main / *20lbfluro leader with a 3/8oz-1/2oz split shot. I like the split shot weight because I am constantly changing the distance between the weight and hook as depth changes. Carolina Rig: Larger size here. 3/0 hook, usually a 3/4oz-1oz weight with *20lbfluoro main and 15lbmono leader. 36"- 48" on leader length. Shaky Head: Smaller size here; with the 1/4 jig head / 15lb braid / *20lbfluoro leader Drop Shot Rig: Smaller size here; with the 3/0 (or #3, I can never remember) Owner Downshot hook. 1/4oz-3/8oz weight. 15lb braid/ *20lbfluoro leader. Wobble Head: Larger size here. I like the wobble head jigs from Mr. Frank at Swing Oil Baits. Usually use the 7/16oz or 1/2oz/. 50lb braid / *20lbfluoro leader *20lbfluror leader: I realize this seems awfully excessive, especially for drop shot / shaky head - but I use that Sunline Sniper; and it's not as thick as other fluorocarbons on the market. My favorite method on Table Rock, by Far, is the wobble head in 10' or so of water. To see how well this thing really tracks, drop it in 2' or so on a rocky bottom, and watch the action when you ssssssslllllooooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyy ddddddrrrrraaaaaggggg it along the bottom. It's so natural, it's simply amazing. The tail stays floating while the wobble head bounces around the rocky bottom. Looks just like a minnow picking off debris from the bottom. Finally, I am so glad that someone posted a question with which I could help. All too often, the threads I read have folks on there with infinitely more knowledge on the topic than I. But, I can hold my own on with Sizmic Grub Fishing, and I am glad to be able to help for once
  11. You can download a photo reducer (if you have an android phone). Here's what I use:
  12. I went as far as Hickory, and there were lots of boats going past me. I had four bites, connected on all four, and they were all dinosaurs (Dink-O-Saurus)!!! Caught one on a wart and the other three on drop shot. All were 13-14" Blacks. I'm going back to Swepco Saturday and visit my pet fish lol
  13. I like to keep up with the stories. I won't be back to Table Rock until next May I'd imagine. Besides - never know when someone will menmention a new bait aand start all the fussing about spending money on the latest fad :-)
  14. Happy New Year!
  15. "I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy I will not buy...." Well, I guess maybe just one wouldn't hurt....
  16. Registered for Table Rock and Grand. Starting the count down!
  17. I will be signed up for Table Rock and Grand tomorrow afternoon :-)
  18. Moonshine Beach at least 6-8 weekends per year (gotta love a timeshare!). I love the Rock! It makes it tough to come back to home lake sometimes lol!
  19. I hear ya boss
  20. Actually, this may be a blessing in disguise, as I am now reminded of a question I've meant to ask here.... I know that Beaver is south of Table Rock, but of course Beaver flows in to Table Rock, right? I've never noticed a pattern on Beaver working the same way on Table Rock or vice versa - I imagine I'm being too simplistic in my thinking - as I thought that the two would fish more similarly?
  21. Force of habit - I check this one first since it's on top in the menu - my bad!
  22. Bubba, I'll tell you one thing - if it's as cold Sunday morning as I'm seeing projected; I am NOT running far from Prairie Creek
  23. I like your thinking - thank you sir
  24. First test runs didn't yield any fish, but I think it may be because they baits glided (is that a word?) Back to me without any wiggle/bobble. I am going to either try a little bit of weight offset to one side, or may get plumb crazy and put a tiny bill in the middle of the under bellies to get a little sway.
  25. I just can't figure out how to use a spoon
