I know that you know this wrench, it is a heck of a lot easier to net your own fish as to try and net one for someone else. She caught both of those fish on barbless hooks and they both made good initial runs and good secondary runs. She has learned to let the reel do the hard work. Hang on and hope for the best.
Haven't seen a yellow bullhead since I was a kid. I used to catch them on grasshoppers at a local pond. You are just around the corner from that 100 mark. Keep em coming.
Fishing seems to be the only away from home activity the wife and I feel comfortable doing since this all started. We are close enough to most fishing that we do a lot of day trips. Even to Taneycomo. With the exception of this week and the rain, we try to fish 2-3 days per week.
Are you still trying to pencil in a trip Pete? I don't have a picture ready yet, but I may or may not know someone who just made another trip down with his wife, and may or may not have caught another 6 lunkers up to 5.5 lbs.
When it starts getting crowded, I tell everyone about the best fishing that I have ever had last week in arkansas. Right now 8 and 10 lbers are running in pods of 20 to 30 fish. I am packed up and headed that way in the morning.
