If my memory serves me correctly, montauk did produce a state record brown trout, but that was way back ten pounds ago.

The original poster mentioned wade fishing, so my response was in regard to wading and not boating.

If the trout parks had 22 miles of creek, they might be less packed as well.

I can see that it has been a while since you have wade fished taneycomo. Just like most of missouri's public waters, whether it be trout, bass, or crappie or urban pond. The influx of unethical and inconsiderate souls is overwhelming. Where do all of these idiots come from? THey most likely are the same people that cut you off in traffic or stradle two parking spaces at the shopping mall. The same people that think they are at an unfair advantage if you catch fish and they do not. They want equal access to the water you are fishing. But you know what? I love every minute of it, and the daily circus show is very entertaining.

He left the orvis shop for another retailer. He was in training for the new job when he caught the big pike.

This is so rare, that they will tell the story for years to come. Nathan is a fine angler and a great sportsman. I have fished with him at taneycomo on many occasions in the past.

If you are talking about ft wood rec center, it is located on the glaize arm of the lake of the ozarks.

Update in the search for the 85 trout stamp. Located. A gentleman from around lebanon now has the complete set of prints and stamps. He will, at a later date, put them on display for the public to enjoy. A fascinating set of missouri heritage. I will keep you updated.

I have found that buzzards love drum fish.

According to the regs, "no" fish can be creeled during c and r. Cranks probably would not fall into the flies only regulation, even with a single point hook.

Trout lose their camo, I guess others would also.

Yeah, I agree thats it. Really some stand out markings.

Caught these today in zone 3 at bssp Chief. Caught maybe 10 or 12 with these markings, and maybe only 2 that appeared to be like the picture of the northern rock bass.
