I heard last week they were catching good numbers and some hefty ones with a walking bait worked slow around docks.

Saw a bunch of craws wading hickory creek friday with Jack. Even had a few guys catch me one and tried to have me use it as bait. I had to show them all I had was very small hooks and lures, they couldn't speak English very well but I could tell they wanted me to catch a big fish. Saw some huge mussels along the banks of some ponds last week, with the water levels so low something had been getting ahold of them, there were piles of them.

I picked up a couple of these tackle trays last week at Walmart and got to try one out this week in the kayak. I was looking to reduce the amount of tackle I carry floating, so I condensed it down to fit in one of these trays. Well it didn't take long and I started having problems with the latches falling off the lid, almost lost them in the creek. Any wrong upward pressure on the latch when open would cause them to come loose. I have other boxes with this style of latch and don't have this problem. The plastic bar on the lid that the latch is pivoting on looks to be the problem, is thicker at both ends, so the latch only has so much to cling to.
