  1. Eric... just asking bud. Are you a member of a stream team? Or, are you a member of the MSA?
  2. Another..... huh? Dan had a long post...and a good post... (he referred to Chief's comments)From what I could tell, he was welcoming people with opinions like Chief's to come to a meeting. I respect everyone's opinion's about the MSA. Didn't know there was an MSA forum, and didn't realize there was an MSA board (or something like it) that could disallow someone from joining the MSA forum. What's the deal with that? If it even matters, I'm an MSA member. I'd like to know why Chief was not allowed to join the forum.
  3. What kind of line is Power Pro Oneshot? What do you use it for? And yep, I'm lazy. Rather here it from a good ol' boy... KC
  4. Oh, I know Wayne. I realize there's plenty of Arkansas guys who come up here too... and some of them I'm sure would be interested in joining the MSA.
  5. Gary... Crooked Creek? You know it's in Arkansas don't you? I'm sure you do, and if you can get some Arkie guys to buy into the Missouri SMA... you're the man.
  6. I've got a friend who used to steelhead fish up there. Have you done it, and any insight bud? The rivers feeding the lake would be some fun fishing! Good to have ya here!
  7. My awesome wife served me up a heck of a sweetheart supper tonight. Walleye and breaded shrimp with homemade mac and cheese. Also had a great garden salad (Ott's poppyseed dressing of course) along with garlic texas toast. Just wondering how everyone else fared on getting their bellies filled? Now I'm ready for some... KC
  8. Fished with beaverfever last fall. I definitely recommend Don. Make sure that Don is your guide. Be flexilble and call now...
  9. Where was the out cry when the problem first started down south? Aren't these fish jumping into boats on the Ohio? I know they're doing it up here in KC on the Missouri. So everyone from government to citizens waits till they make it to the Great Lakes? And how long did it take for their migration to their current location happen? Way before this administration, that's for sure. This administration has decided to take the quick fix approach. Plenty of money involved (80 million). A chance it won't work, but maybe it will. Long term approach was discussed also. No monetary value discussed in the article. Much more than the quick fix though. I'd rather see the long term approach taken. Commercial vessels and political pockets think otherwise. I'm all for our government to be a little more environmentally aware than they have been in the last "NINE" years... Too much bickering between the parties for them to hear "US" anymore. Think I'll just go fishing to get away from this crap.
  10. What rivers and lakes are you gonna fish up here? Stealth is key on ozark streams... if you wanna catch fish. If you want to take an outboard down south, you better know the river.
  11. Roger Daltry ain't retiring. He's the opening act for Eric Clapton at the Sprint Center here in KC. Don't know the date, but it's soon. No Pete Townsend though. Pretty amazing how the music from the 60's and 70's lives on. I appreciate all kinds of music, but like "The Who" says... I'm partial to "My Generation".
  12. OK Bill... first of all, do you ice fish? Those would be good pic's. If you can come down, talk to some of these Ozark boys about winter fishing down here on the streams.
  13. This is just wrong, BUTT, hey... been a long winter. Look, the hospital asked me to listen to a Muddy Waters DVD last night and they informed me I'd "passed with flyin' colors"!
  14. just got rear-ended by a colonoscopy today... Yep, things are a little slow up here...
  15. That's pretty neat!
  16. PC... the reels got here and they look great. Hope you can someday hook up with me, Chief, and Buzz for a trip. Godsend buddy...
  17. You a Brett Favre fan denjac? I didn't like the waffleing too much, but I do appreciate his play. He's a gunslinger... just like Elway.
  18. I value my points from both. I'm not in to particulars, but I think Cabela's points are a little better than Bass Pro's.
  19. Saints - 37 Colts - 34 In overtime....
  20. I'm sorry (for me) that I won't be there. Weather and other factors. Would have been great to meet some of you. Keeping my fingers crossed for next weekend with the "Two Stooges".
  21. Can you divulge where you caught 'em? If not no biggie. Nice looking fish bud!
  22. Hey Mr. Ed, I know most lakes over on the Kansas side aren't clear. Great fishing over there though! Maybe you've been on it, I don't know... but have you ever fished Wilson? That reservoir is crystal clear most of the time, especially on the lower end. And hey... LOZ is huge. If you're worried about the areas effected, most are on the lower end... (see wrench's reply).
  23. Are most of the problems concerning septic systems, or city raw sewage, referring to the lower lake... where the money is? Just a waypoint, but Ivy Bend up to Truman dam. Anyone concerned up there?
  24. Back in the mid 90's I joined a book club through, if I can remember right, was through Outdoor Life. They were offering books no longer in print through the Adventure Library. All are true stories... Himalayas, Antarctica, Amazon, lost at sea, etc. My favorite was about Earnest Shackleton's attempt to be the first to cross the Antarctic continent. Unfortunately, I don't know where it is now. If anybody's interested I'd be glad to ship any of the books to be read. Just need to ship them back please! PM me for titles and authors if you'd like. As far as this winter goes, I did manage to speed read the december issue of Playboy...
  25. My guess is a guide or a gull... (sorry guys)
