  1. The MDC reportedly have trained the Elk to conduct controlled burns. The select few designated capitalization are heading the project.
  2. Beaver Fever... but make sure you book your trip with Don.
  3. Guess you haven't heard that MDC enlisted the help of Dr. Shoal who claims stinky feet is the cause of dydimo.
  4. We're hooking up with Brian for shuttles and staying in one of his cabins sunday and monday. Gonna stay in the Alton motel tuesday and wednesday. I've put off this river for so long it's time to give it a go. Gonna float Greer to Turner monday. Turner to Whitten tuesday. Whitten to Riverton wedneday. I'm a smallie guy, which is why I haven't hit the 11 Pt. Gonna hit the Jacks Fork on thursday before we head back to Cassville to pick up the mutts. Be home saturday. Report to follow... we're spin fishing only. Hope I can post pics. I hate the internet. What the heck happened to a phone call or talking to friends in person? I miss rotary phones! I know ya feel me Wayne!
  5. If you're a Missouri resident and kill one in the future, don't forget to eat his heart immediatly after the kill. All of you guys with european bloodlines will then become legends here in our great state.
  6. I'm voting for Eric's Icon. Oh wait... Buckwheat was already assassinated.
  7. Just tell'um you're there to spend the bucks you've earned on their credit card. Then smile at them with a fake pair of those messed up teeth. Big Cedar cringes when it comes to pillow drool.
  8. Wayne, what month did you go? I know it's dry as heck this year. I pulled the canoe thru shallow riffles from Buffalo Point to Rush. But they were short. I don't want to be dragging a loaded canoe 100 yards or more.
  9. Joe, your post hit me hard. I was married to a wonderful pygmy woman once. She broke my heart when she left me, ironically claiming I wasn't half the man she thought I was.
  10. for a two night three day float. From what I've read that's feasable. Wanting to take my wife's sister and her husband on a mind cleansing trip and they're all for it. His little and only sister committed suicide the day before Mothers Day. He's like a brother to me. I've got river maps but figured a little help for that stretch would be nice. I've covered the river from somewhere above Woolum to Rush and that's it. Thanks... KC
  11. Make'em fish out of float tubes until they can afford their own dang boat!
  12. Al, that 14 mile float could've been a 20 mile trip (minus the WTD presentations).......
  13. Beings you're floating during the week, why not consider Eminence to Two Rivers? Sure, the scenery's not on par with the upper river, but it's still nice. And the fishing is usually great also. There's some nice smallmouth to be caught, especially from Shawnee Creek to the Current. Plenty of goggleye too... and plenty of water to float.
  14. .... just wanted to add as far as shows go I've always enjoyed Jim Stafford. He's funny as heck.
  15. I'll vouch for the Steak Inn in Shell Knob. Ate there many times and it's excellent. Used to be a place called Tucker's Inn on 39 just south of Viola. It's not there anymore but the chef who owned it now has a place in the mini-strip mall behind the Bank of America in SK. His food was top of the line at Tucker's. I haven't been to his new place. He cooked at the Port Grille at Campbell's Point also.
  16. Viagra is the biggest deterrent to fishing there is. Remember to make it quick. There's fish to be caught.
  17. Oppurtunity knocks for someone I know down there... just say'in...
  18. Thanks for the report. We need rain, just not a bunch at once.
  19. You're the best Wrenchie...
  20. Give Wilderness Ridge Resort a holler. They're located next to Rich's. They can take care of you I'd think.
  21. Jibberish Ness! Total jibberish! (Oh... and it's for sale...)
  22. Here's a pic of me yesterday after I caught a 10# smallie from Shoal Creek.
  23. I had no idea up until this past Saturday that he died on April 6th when his plane crashed. He was a good guy and I really enjoyed his show. There's a great "tribute" show in his memory on the home page of his website if anybody cares to check it out.
