Kids got in late this afternoon. We got on the water around 7 fished several banks in the coves jigging with white flukes. Nothing doing, switched to Wart craw, about 8 we found a school of SM stacked in 14 fow on a main lake point. Son and grandson had a ball for a while got one on almost every cast. All about 1 - 1.5 lbs. with a few dinks. Hope our luck holds for the weekend.

In Fisherman has a nice article about them. http://www.in-fisherman.com/bass/hybrid-black-bass/

Someone asked Howard Hughes "How much money is enough?" Answer "Just a little bit more."

Great report, I really wish I could get down more often this year but it's not looking good. I love this high water even if we have to take a boat to the dock. Hope the fishing holds till Memorial Day, would like to take some extra time then.

It looks like the rain today is bringing the level up a bit again. We are coming down this week for our annual trip with our son. I think we will try working the treeline then move out to the old shoreline. We had good luck in 08. I expect that any rain will cause some fluctuations in the level at this point. I was down with some guys from work on Apr 22-24 had good luck on smallies Watermelon Candy Chompers, 2 days later the lake was up 18 feet, probably need to change things up this time.

Just don't get them riled and you should be OK.

Rick at Lakeside Resort in Coney Island said he was going to start selling minnows this year. They are on the upper side of the T shaped peninsula across from point 6. Only about 4 or 5 miles by water from Indian Point. You might want to call before going over just to make sure. http://www.lakesideresort.net Also I think there was a post awhile back ( month or so ) about crappie in the Cow Creek area.

Little Cow is just above Point 6 Cow Creek is just below it and Spring Branch is the next one down.

I have a neighbor that said they catch crappie around the Gobbler Mountain Resort Dock. It's about a mile or so down from Kimberling. Haven't heard of any activity yet.

Nice Wally I have been planning to try that area.

Someone told me B O A T stands for Break Out Another Thousand. Some days I think they're right.

There's a nice cutback in the bank just up from Little Cow on the same side. Last weekend we were doing some searching for something different and the gills were very aggressive with my 3/4oz football jig even pulled a couple in on it. (Hooked not snagged) Just not what we were looking for. They were in 20 - 22 ft usually near maple trees. I will be trying this spot with the grand kids next time they're down. Good Luck

Went out for another quickie this morning before we had to head for home. Same point as last night but no K's only SM's some dinks and one 3 lb. Same depth, bait, and presentation as last night. I think the fishing for us has been better this year than it has the last couple years or maybe I'm finally learning to slow down. Hope to be back in 2-3 weeks, by then we may have to resort to the fairy wand drop shot. Good luck everybody we'll leave the rest for you.

Got out about 8 this evening after the end of trip chores were done. Worked one point close to home, we thought most of the cruisers would be in by then, not. We were marking some fish just off the bottom in 22 - 24 feet of water, windward side of main lake point, just across from Little Cow. Fished football jigs with green pumpkin trailers. Missed several that fell very small but did get some nice 2-1/2 - 3 lb K's in. While working a bite I ignored a large cruiser that had gone by earlier and ended taking 2 shots from his wake over the bow as we turned into it just in time, but I did get the fish in. We only fished about 45 min. to an hour before the lightning chased us in. But it was a nice ending for this trip if I can't get out in the morning before we leave for the daily grind world.

Watch that trash after dark. We were out late last weekend and narrowly pasted a 15 - 20 foot floating cedar. Mic

I love throwing a blade and had good luck with it a few weeks back. But not this past weekend. I knew I should listen to everyone on the forum about the grub bite, ( and I did ), but I had to be stubborn and waste time with my blades. Tried up shallow in the in the trees and even tried slow rolling on the bottom where we we catching them on grubs but couldn't buy a bite with it. If someone figures something out I'll be glad to hear about it. Although with these gas prices I won't be back for about a month. Thanks, Mick

We fished hard all morning with a goose egg for our efforts. Did some chores around the cabin this afternoon then tried again this evening in the point 5 area. Picked up a few light biters around 8 o'clock. Best was a 2.5 - 3 # SJ by our son Dave. The bites were specific the edge of the chuck rock and gravel bottom in 30'. We caught them on salt and pepper grubs and tubes 4". Mama went along and just could not get a good hookup on her football jig. We wanted to stay a little longer but a neighbor called and said some friends were stranded on a dock they were repairing and the 12 foot shuttle boat they were using had drifted away. So we did our good deed for the day and rescued them and the boat. Maybe the rock will reward us in the morning with a nice catch.

I've resorted to using the kids paddle boat to get to our dock and back. At least I get a little workout each time.

How High Is The Rock Going To Go? It's Over 931 Now.
5 Keepers replied to Shaner's topic in Table Rock Lake
Our neighbor on The Rock called last night to say that the water was up to the buildings on the lake side of the Landing and that those shops were closed. That was before the tailwaters raised another 4 feet late last night. Does anybody Know off hand what level Branson Landing can tolerate? -
We have a vacation house in Coney Island. 12 x 60, 2 br 1 bath. We sometimes rent by the night. If you don't find something let me know. Coney is north and across the lake from point 6 on the T shaped peninsula. mkoso@budweiser.com

I stopped at the corp office and asked about ramps. They gave me a list and printed a map for the area I was interested in.

My son and I fished little cow for a couple hours on early Sunday morning befor we left for home. We picked up some nice spots on top water. We could only pull them off completely submerged and isolated cedars with a 20 to 30 second pause right above the tree. Maybe this will help some. Mic

I think those are Kentuky Spotted Bass. (Good Fighters)

The transition banks with trees were very good for me earlier. December was excelent 25 to 50 ft, Football jigs pb&j, but slowed down by mid January. This was mid-lake Kimberling to Cow Creek area. I haven't been down in February yet but I've been told to move up the coves to secondary points. Hope this helps.

I'm late with this report but I was at the lake December 16th. The Kentuckies were still hitting the main lake points and transition banks. Little Cow Creek area. I fished 55' up to 20' with a 3/8oz football jig pb&j. Biggest one was close to 4 lbs at about 3:15 in the afternoon. I didn't get down over the holidays, mamma had other plans. Is anybody still fishing for bass or is everybody searching for crappie?
