I fish Joe Bass too, but chickened out as I wasnt on enough quality fish. Guess that makes me an old poop head but I kept $140. in my pocket. Usually when its tough I do well but just had a funny feeling. What did it take to win today?

Had a decent day Sat. with gobs of fish on a jerk bait. Biggest one was 3 pound black and a couple toad KY at 2 1/2 to 3. Real shallow on the jerk bait. Right in front of the moss line. A few fish on the grub on deeper banks. Fished from mill creek to Cow. Today was a differant story around the dam area, couldnt get bit until I got into Long creek and then it was just a few dinks. Caught 3 nice goggle eye in brushy creek on the grub. Went into a crappie spawning cove to check that out and just caught one, but it was a dandy. 17 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 pounds. Threw her in the livewell but didnt come up with anymore so returned her back to the water. She was in around 8 ft of water and caught her swimming a jig real slow. They ought to pop this week or next.

It worked for me although it did take awhile to download. A faster way to see it is to right click on it and select save as target. Put it in a file and view it that way.

Boy, Aunts creek has it all! Why would anyone want to fish anywhere else?

Yeh I agree somthing just not quite right. With all due respect for the family and without sounding morbid, I wonder if the cold water is keeping them down and when it warms up if they will come up. I know they say lake superior never gives up its dead due to the cold water.

They have already been using side scan.

The bat boat put theirselves in harms way. They had plenty of time to get out of the way but chose to just sit in the water. They got what they deserved!

Joe and Don, there is no fish to be caught in the dam area, just mosey on up the white or the james. I hear there is a big bite in Aunts creek. lol Dont sore mouth em all this week as I cant get back down there until next week.

Man thats too bad. Will keep an eye out up here for it. Hope they recover it and catch the low lifes that did it. Made me go out and put my tonuge lock on mine.

I too hope they are recovered. Stockton for me has always produced the worst weather and biggest waves of any lake that I have ever fished in this area. Been in some bad ones up there on more than one occasion. A good friend of mine, ( Billy Jones) died up there helping a lost boater get back in after dark. He died in Ruark cove. Just think about him as you idle out past the idle bouys and remember to be safe out there and know the limitations of your boat and your knowlage.

I think most tournament rules state: no leaving the boat except in the case of emergency. I would think that could be interpeted to mean using the bathroom. It has been an emergency for me at times!

I was one of them on thursday. Put in at Ruark and fished my way down to CC bridge. It was tough to say the least. 7 bass, 1 keeper around 3 pound. 2 drum and 1 dink crappie. bet I counted 12 boats all fishing withing 50 yards of the CC bridge. It was a zoo!

I can see it now. An angry boat owner or dock owner talking to the water patrol. And the boat had a big orange dot on the motor. Just kidding but it could happen.

Try fishing the Sac and Suns creek arm of the lake. More boats there than I have ever seen, even on weeks days.

Maybe there tummies are full with all the dead shad? What do you think about the docks they built in Jaques creek this winter? That one might be good if they would let you fish it without getting yelled at. Or maybe too much boat traffic to fish it at all.

Yellow wet suits!

Ribbon per say would sun fade quickly. A polyester fabric would work as it doesnt sun fade. I dont know how visable it would be hanging off the trolling motor. All good ideas, just brain storming. Maybe yellow wetsuits!
