  1. I am not going to touch that one with say, a 6ft. pole!
  2. Sorry to hear that. Just curious, what are the symptoms?
  3. Wow ! You got me packing my bags. Hope it turns into a bigger bite too. Be glad to see the return of the smallies, I need a fix.
  4. In the search box type in drop shot.. Tons of stuff wrote about it. Dont worry about not being able to the see the graph from the back of the boat. I personally drop below the hanging fish unless your in the trees. I like it one or two cranks off the bottom. many will disagree with that but it works better for me.
  5. Bill wasnt complaning about guiding. He was complaining about tournamnet fisherman calling him wanting to know where the bite is. Not a guide but it is work, and willing to bet most couldnt do it on a day to day basis. And by your remarks you dont have a clue!!
  6. I guess not much you could do about it other than an exchange of words. Someone that would do that has very low self esteem and lazy. Whats it cost for a tag boat $75? Cheap in my opinion. But istnt a tag boat usually buddies of the folks in the guide boat?
  7. No smallies? Looks like a good day. Yours seems to be bigger than Buzz's. Or maybe its the same fish and you held it out further.
  8. S&M, Wow great post, but dont think I would have given up my honey hole.
  9. [. Had a guy call yesterday and told me he had 18 keeps off one hump up to 3 lbs. but wanted info. on bigger fish, cause these just would not cut it. Wheres the hump??
  10. I like the show Get the net. He even provides gps on some of his spots. Heres some moe info on it. Welcome Get the NET is a fishing show that's about more than the big catch. Viewers watch Brent Shores, Professional Bass Angler, as he journeys through the ins and outs of fishing trips. Witness his adventures through beautiful locales in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Montana, California, Nevada, and Arizona. Brent shows you how to get there, where to stay, the best restaurants, where to fish, and what the fish are biting on. This hybrid fishing/travel show takes us beyond the rod a reel into the life of a professional catch-and-release angler.
  11. Bill reading this post at 11:00 PM, saying OH CRAP!!. Running outside in his undewear to the boat. Delete, delete, delete, delete.
  12. I had to do the same thing today. Wife and I are going out in the morning and will bounce her around up by the darn. Gives me more fuel by telling her those new 20 footers dont bounce near as bad as our 18 footer.
  13. Guess what I meant was that I was happy with the numbers. Just couldnt find or catch any over 15 inches.
  14. Had a decent day yesterday with the spook, jig and spoon. Hook up ratio on the spook was poor though, being about 25% caught. Went back through them with a jig with a twin tail grub and owned them then. The spook bite lasted until 9:00 so don't give up on it to early. Started fishing docks and drop shot spots with a white wobble spoon. The ate it up ! 30 - 50 ft deep. Was fishing a point up by Beardsy and had a guide boat pull in on me about 50 yards or so fom me. I didnt mind though plenty of water to fish. I thought it might be fun to embarass him in front of his clients with my spoon as they were all over it . Didnt happen though as they started catching 5 to my one with night crawlers. And there were four of them fishing. Nothing to brag about when I gave it up aound 11am 20 -25 fish best 5 10- 12 pounds, but they sure were hammering all of the above mentioned baits.
  15. Thats too bad. Bet Hot Springs one uped Rogers to get them down there.
  16. Thats crazy! Think I would catch the rikshaw to go to work.
  17. Were those skeeters or flys in the first video?
  18. He writes and also is an artist. Some folksl have all the talent. I cant even draw good stick people!
  19. Sounds like someone else I know!
  20. One word, live croakers 4-6 inches long on a drag rig. I always did better with the tide going out. I did catch some shorter reds wading on the bay side at Cape San Blas about 100 miles south of where you will be. I was throwing artificial then. As far as fishing with a fly rod I have no clue. There are lots of bait shops/ sporting goods stores all over the place. The locals tend to be tight lipped about where and how. Thats been my experiance anyway. Thats a 38 inch red in my picture. Had anothe go 42 on the same trip. Anything over 25 is considered a trophy. They are a blast to catch and will wear you out. Sorry I couldnt help you more, but those reds are a passion with me and just had to chime in.
  21. Good to see some posts on Grand. I dont know why it isnt posted more. Nice fish. What area?
  22. Another great adventure Phil!
  23. Hey , I met a hot chick in there one time when it was on the other side of the road.
  24. Bill, what is a mature nightcrawler???
