  1. Thanks for the reports. You got to believe that Christie, is throwing the Stick. Maybe a rig, but I would bet you those big fish came out of Cedars on a stickbait. He is every bit as good with it as Mike M. and it is kind of his signature deal as well. What is the temp down there? The Rock is 51 at most 53 Thanks again for the ujpdate.
  2. Did ya notice I posted the Grand Slam Jaw, LM, K and MM. Just-Sayin. Good Luck
  3. I'm with you both Phil and 5 TR is still cool. I accually went back in cow looking for beds around the ramp and did not see any. As far as Taney, yesterday in the restricted zone it was 46. They must not have moved any water. They are wanting TR to fill up so they can have an event on a 3 inch rain. Makes you wonder.
  4. I guess the older you get the stupid-er. Beck suggested those boys were bed fishing and looking for bucks making beds. Gosh with these types of temps I had not thought of that. Guess Joe Bass today went from 28 pounds for first to 17 some odd for second. We probably would have snaked in a 1st. loser in that deal today Good Luck
  5. To answer your question, the answer would be no. Yes they do have county agents here, but they must work both land and water and are spread so painfully thin, they seem to be nonexistant. Thru no fault of theiir own. 15 years ago, we had agents on the lakes everyday except for hunting season openers. We would also get agents from other counties that were mainly hunting counties in fishing season here. Just does not happen any longer with the current economy and the ammount of agents and the funding for them. Just not enough resources. These poor guys just work their tails off, not to mention getting called at all hours. I feel like a heel if I have to call one for a violation, not knowing if they might possibly be on their day off. You just have to believe family time to them is a very precious thing. I believe they are all doiing more than their fair share and for sure the best they can with the number of hours in a day.
  6. Table Rock Lake Current Bass Fishing Report Started today at Cow Creek and we fished to Point 7 then around to Point 2, mostly fishing staging areas on a very slick surface. This lake is just about as clear as it has been in the last 20 years. I dropped the White Ice fluke to the bottom in 30 ft. off of Sportsman and could see it on the bottom. What a good thing, as the fish can see it for a long way. They sure did today as they pretty much ate up our float-n-fly and carolina rigged fluke. Did not get out real early and when we hit the water, the surface temps were at 50.2 got off at 3 pm and surface temp at Indian Point was 52. Not a whole lot of increase in temps. Don't know how long this deal will last, but they are still for me suspended in staging areas, mostly in 15 to 25 feet over 50. The boats I saw today were no problem, as they were fishing up right on the bank. Saw lots of them some fishing with-in a flip or a pitch of the bank. Must have been catching something as there were lots and lots doing it. I was fishing out at least 2 casts out behind most of them in much deeper water. Did talk to a couple of guys fishing close and they were not slaying them. We had well over 40 fish today with close to 20 keepers with the bigs at 4 to 4.5 . Caught the best quality K's I've had this year. Hope I can stay on them as I am fixin to really get busy. Report in the same area on heavy wind yesterday was a fantastic A-Rig bite, with some of the guides coming up with 15 keepers and 30 fish days for their clients and really good size. Mostly the same area I fished on flat water today. Good Luck
  7. It's all reletive and all about money. Big Cedar was not involoved with the Race track, so they didn't want it. It is perfectly ok to put in one of the biggest Sporting Clay and shooting ranges in the country, just down the road if you own it. Nobody looked the other way on this deal, permits were issued and sound level limitions were waved. Simple as that. I will say again, I have a very exclusive Quiet Bed and Breakfast across from BC. Those fisherman hurt nothing were very respectful and cordial and spent a ton of money. Nothing what so ever bad to say about them. On another point, What Water Patrol? Didn't know we had one anymore. Got some goofy Hwy Patrol driving around at times, that really should stay on land, but there is no longer a True Water Patrol. You can thank your Governor for that Massive Blunder.
  8. One of my favorites is he is hooking Mahi Mahi with 12 wt. flyrods and is handing them to his clients that don't even fly fish. He has 4 fish hooked up at once and his clients are bowed to the max fighting the fish off the stern of the Spanish Fly. He is going crazy and so are they. Don't think you see that everyday. I'll try to go back and watch every episode he did. It is kind of like one of our contributors here said about Charlie Campbell. Just being around him you soaked up some of his niceness. His untimely death is a real kick in the groan to the entire sport fishing world. Good Luck
  9. Man, just saw jose was killed in a plane crash. That completely ruins my day. I thought that guy was really good.
  10. Are you talking about Jose Wejebe? I know I butchered that last name, but that guy has more than got his stuff together. Simply one of the best fisherman I believe I have ever seen, and for gosh sakes he looks like he is just having a blast. Ive met Roland several times and he has been more than cordial. Might be a different deal however. Buddy of mine fished with him in that derby he won out of the jet boat and said he was a kick. No problems at all. Those guys know what they are getting into with all their fame and should act like gentlemen at all times. Not saying he has to sign everything thrust in his face, but he should be nice in saying no. Good Luck
  11. Wow!! Please post how this works out. It is suspose to get into the upper 20's here tonight. There is a heavy freeze warning for Rogers with a high tomorrow of low 50's. If you can put an 8 yr. old on anything tomorrow, I am going to be more than impressed. Right at dark, those whites might take off their long jons and bite a little, but I'm going to be suprised if its just not a bugger. If you have a brush pile or two and a crappie minnow, that might be more than a good bet. Wishing you the best of luck with the youngster. Good Luck
  12. She looks like she is still full of eggs.
  13. Phil and I also fished there. We were a little late and i was having some lodge problems, so we didn't stay long. Phil had one nice keeper walleye which we released. Here is a big tip. Just because Buster is catching them for sure does not mean you will, reguardless of who you are, including and meaning ME. He could dip out a bucket of Bull Shoals water and put it in is bathtub and overnight there would be a keeper walleye in it. It is just not normal to be that good. That my friends is over 50 fish in a 3/4 day guide trip. He is working that sitckbait faster than fast now. Remember how slowly he worked it this Winter. Disreguard that info. it is not current. He is snapping it hard in one spot, turning its head from side to side. The RCSTX have been working well for either whites or eyes, just be sure you replace the hooks to avoid a huge disapointment. He is using the small one. 3 and 3/4 I believe.
  14. No trams and no boat houses, other than what is already here by Grandaddy Clause.
  15. Now that's funny. Lots of these guys ran for a week, prior to their derby. I even saw some bass fishing from the Airboats during the day. Yes it was loud and I have a home just across from Big Cedar, but really it should not have been that big of a deal with the complaining. I did get up one nite at the first of last week, thinking my HAV unit had gone haywire until I saw all the lights on the lake. I think that 30 mph after sunset deal was also waved as these boys just flew across the water. No biggie. Wrench, the no dock deal and the no bars on the water are perhaps goan save us here, but thanks for thinking of us.
  16. Your not the first one I have heard this from. It's not like there are a bunch of Table Rock Experts sitting around that place BS'ing. Local place like that needs to respect all who enter and be as helpful as possible. The only Stupid questions are the ones you do not ask.. If you don't know ask, and if the answer is impolite walk out the friggin door. That really riles me. Good Luck
  17. I have two Shimano 50MG Core's for sale. They are like new. This is one of the lighest baitcasters on the market. It is the quint essencial finess jig reel. Works great for shaky head fishing also and is a super square bill reel and spinnerbait up to 1/2 oz. I really like them for jerkbaits. They are fresh spooled with 10 pound Invesx FC. I also have one remaining Curado 300E new in the box. These 3 reels would cost you a Grand at Tacklewarehouse. All 3 for $650.00 you pay shipping or pick them up. Singles the Core's are $275.00 each and the Curado is $200.00. First call for them all gets them. Will not sell individule reels until Monday, but if you are the first to only want one and the lot does not sell its yours. Email me or call or send a text 417-332-7016
  18. You would think so. This is really getting to be a pretty bad situation, that someone needs to immediatly look into.
  19. Great fish. People I cannot tell you this enough, and really should not have to. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER leave anything in a Bass Boat over night on Table Rock Lake if you want to keep it. No place here is safe and it never has been. This is not a new deal, it is a thing that has been going on since the lake was flooded. Stuff left in your boat over night no longer belongs to you. If you are $$$$$$ enough to leave your hard earned equipment in your boat, do not lock the boxes or use a locker bar. That is when the real damage starts and the expenses really begin as they will break them out for sure, knowing that if you locked it there is valuables inside. Thanks for the great report and wonderful pics. Be careful out there.
  20. After a very rough morning with me on the same pattern I caught the big gal on two days ago and lots of keepers, we struggled, to get bit. Boys suffered thru a boat break down and me putting them out an hour early. They found them an afternoon pattern that no one else and I mean no body else is doing and caught those nice fish. Hope if continues for them. They may have taught several of us old dogs a lesson if it continues for them. I'm praying it does and they have put another bullet in my arsenal. Great fish and good luck.
  21. My wife found out yesterday that they had to have a special lic. and that there were regulatiions waved for this event as far as noise levels and after dark operations. Special deal, we will probably not see it again.
  22. I was up there yesterday, and was really suprised how far they had pushed out into the lake. Really way to far, That is the only deep water we have in that particular stretch and they have enchorached out at least 15 ft. into the channel. With the gravel bar on the other side if they do that up past the ramp and connect with the rip rap at the end, it will indeed take up way to much water, and I believe that is what they are going to do, unless stopped. Right now with the ammount of shoal there is on the East side, it is almost a single boat lane. If you are fishing, you pretty much have to concede to the boat traffic. With this new addition to the shoreline, it is really going to be very close on navigation. This should be addressed as soon as possible to keep them from further expansion. Pretty nice if you want more land, you just push out and take it from the navigatable part of the lake. At this rate, what's to stop them from going clear across? That area is a disaster to begin with as people crowd the line and block the channel as it is. With this new wall that they are putting in, it is a real problem. Need some intervention here.
  23. Did you catch topwater fish, or were they on the blade?
  24. Just a wonderful report, much appreciated. Any news we get lake wide just makes this pond more accesable for everyone. Good Luck
  25. Fish like those are never lame! I was not so much for the first 4 hrs. If I had been guiding, my folks would have thought me more than terrible. I just got fed up with it and went on search and destroy and got lucky. Great report RPS Any more news on Whites? would like to head up that way.
