  1. That spread looks mighty fine to me!
  2. Losing 60 is pretty impressive, I'd say keep doing whatever it is you are doing to lose the next 60. You can ponder on what to do once you get the next 60 off.
  3. Dutch, are you going to do any fishing while there?
  4. I'm sure that fish I lost was a striper. I'd be happy if those big stripers would leave me alone when bass fishing especially when I am back in the trees. But I hear you on that mystery fish Devan, I hate losing those. As far as flatheads, I know someone that spoons a lot and fishes with his wife quite a bit and they've both caught big flatheads on spoons on Table Rock, they usually get a couple a year.
  5. That was a tough game to watch, so many fouls called, the game was so disjointed from all the fouls and play stoppages. Arkansas is just not skilled on offense, they've got physical talent, but they don't play smart basketball. Too many freshmen that still have a lot to learn.
  6. Nice!
  7. I'm in, payment sent.
  8. Never heard of them. HAHA! Have not fished them yet, but I will tie one on for the next trip. Lately jerk baits in general have not been working for me, darn fish are so deep it is hard to call them up. I ran into some huge schools of shad and these baits do a good job of matching the hatch on those little shad. Thanks for the tip on the dots.
  9. If I had a list of things to worry about (I don't have a list, just saying), this would not even make the list.
  10. Yeah would've been neat to see it, but never got close enough.
  11. That's pretty neat that those geese were banded that far north.
  12. Geese? Bunch of them around the Indian Creek Corps park. They know where they are safe.
  13. With the weather forecast predicting 60's by afternoon, I had to go. Started off fishing in the main basin, off points, for smallmouth - picked up 4, 2 were keepers, slow rolling a 2.8 Keitech. Made the decision to go back into Indian and work the trees. Got a couple of bass on the Ned rig, working the trees, but not a lot of bites, moved once more and spotted some shad dimpling the surface in the channel, so stopped and started throwing the Keitech again. The shad were over 40 feet of water, and I'd let that bait hit bottom and then slow roll it back. Caught a 12" spot on my 2nd cast, released it, cast back into the same spot, let it sink to the bottom and THUNK, got a solid hit, felt a couple of head shakes, and that fish bolted - it was an unstoppable force, I had maybe 50 yards of braid on my reel and it was into the backing in a few seconds. Got the trolling motor dialed up to 100% and started following the fish, but it still kept pulling drag. Took me across the channel and headed straight for a cedar tree, couldn't stop it and into the tree it went and the show was over. No doubt a big striper and that fish owned me. Went back and caught several fish under those shad, including a few largemouth. Next thing I knew it was 1 PM and time to go. Boated 15 bass, 5 were keepers. The three amigos:
  14. Nothing wrong with getting 5 nice crappie.
  15. Thanks, I'll have to check them out.
  16. That's a good woman!
  17. I don't see much in the way of media when it comes to Hawgs hoops, I just watch the games. It will be interesting to see how they play against Mizzou.
  18. Sorry you can't make it DC. Isn't swimming good therapy? 😃
  19. Black made that crybaby gesture towards the Vandy bench when he was taking those free throws, all he did was motivate them to win. Coach Muss needs to have a talk with that dude.
  20. I can't explain Arkansas let alone the SEC. Arkansas has to beat Mizzou Wednesday.
  21. Great pics, some really nice looking fish!
  22. Thanks for the tips on what to look for!
  23. You are welcome, those Warts were just sitting around gathering dust, good to see someone make something useful out of them.
  24. That would put me off that franchise.
