  1. Glad to see you eliminated a couple more geese!
  2. Probably was Cow Shoals, I'm not familiar with that river, but it was a shallow stretch of river.
  3. The AGFC "Talking Outdoors" did a show on the Little Red, it aired today - but you can go to the AGFC website and watch it if you missed it. They were fishing the 1st week of December, targeting browns in a shallow, riffly stretch of river. They caught a bunch on flies fished under indicators. Mostly 12-16" fish, but one that looked to be in the 5-7 lb. range. They did a pretty good show. I was impressed by how many browns were in that relatively short stretch of river.
  4. Indeed, very nice work.
  5. Saw this on the AGFC website, stocked in December: Bull Shoals Lake, Baxter County, 20,000 yearling rainbow trout.
  6. No video needed!
  7. Welcome!
  8. They used Italian Alpine marble for those rocks. Very expensive stuff. The chicken poop filtration plant that they had to place up stream wasn't cheap either..
  9. Welcome!
  10. Good to see folks having a good time. Nice fish BTW.
  11. Thinking about this a little more; I'm more of an "opportunity" fisherman. If the weather is decent and I have time to go, I'll go. I might anticipate the fishing to be bad/good depending on the barometric reading, but I'll go anyway.
  12. It was interesting to listen to Bobby Knight do the analysis - that guy can't stop coaching.
  13. Not only a high pressure day, but windy and cold. No fishing again for me today.
  14. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.
  15. I can deal with a cold front if the big ones are biting!
  16. Mizzou just could not get over the hump. Vandy was hitting their threes and doing a good job on the glass.
  17. I'm thinking an 8-9 lb. fish at that length/girth.
  18. Nice ones!
  19. Appears to be on ESPN tonight, got it set to record, I like being able to FF thought the commercials and half time.
  20. I've never been a fan of the tourneys during the spawn myself, but the bass bios all say it doesn't hurt the numbers of fish fry that hatch overall. I have always wondered if removing the larger fish from the river arms and hauling them down lake somewhere to be released does have an effect on the overall average size of the fish in the river arms. I know that a lot of guys I talk to think that there is better quality down lake than say up the White river arm.
  21. I have to remember that one - "Hey get out of here, you're in the way of my backcast!" Sheesh, that really takes the cake.
  22. Yep you can't keep them these days (legally) if it's any kind of public land. Private land you need permission.
  23. I like those beady little eyes.
  24. Thanks for the report, looking out the window I can see the trees swaying back and forth. No fishing for me today (or tomorrow).
