Not as bad as the forecasts were showing a few days ago, but 6" of crap and 3 degrees here is nothing to sneeze at for March 3. -

3 degrees this morning, 4" of snow on top of 2" of sleet. But supposed to hit 45 tomorrow afternoon and 60's by Friday. -

There's a couple of places in Rogers that have 87 ethanol free. When I was up in Nebraska and SD bird hunting I noticed that most stations up there give you a choice between 87 with ethanol and without. Seeing how those are big corn growing states and ethanol proponents, it seems if there's anyone who should be fulfilling the ethanol mandates it should be those corn growing states.

Just heard some thunder. I've seen thunder snow before, but I don't think I've ever heard thunder when it was as cold 14 degrees. -
Never been a big fan of trout as table fare whether they were born in the gravel or in a plastic tub. Once or twice a year I can have trout for dinner, but that's about it.

I didn't know about that KY loss to SC until I just looked at the scores in the paper. That's a bit of a shocker. Those 2 wins over AR do give Mizzou an argument should AR make the NCAA's. I never have liked the 8 or 9 seed, as if you win, you're going to get the #1 seed.

You'll have to let us know how your day went if you get a chance. A couple of big bags at the top, and then it tails off. Looks like the tough fishing is continuing.

Just thinking ahead to the SEC tournament, outside of Florida, you can make a case for about 6 teams having a shot at getting to the final. Kentucky is tough, but Arkansas has beaten them twice this year. Georgia, Mizzou, Tennessee, Ol Miss - they all have a reasonable chance. Could be a great tournament.

I think I'll do some snow peas myself this spring. Ground is workable here, just need this cold front to get out. Not much precip so far this morning, but cold and windy. Supposed to get ice/sleet/snow later in the day. -
TV coverage - Day 1 on ESPN2 today at 9 AM Central, and on Sunday, Day 1 5 AM, Days 2-3, 6 AM.

You're right, now is the time for walleye, if you wait for the reports, you're going to miss out. AGFC nets walleye that they use for hatchery brood stock around March 15 below Beaver dam. Those walleye provide the walleye fingerlings that are stocked in Beaver.
