Yeah when I fished last week, it was wind = bite, no wind = no bite. But these guys are better fishermen than I, so I expect they'll catch fish. The guys chasing McClelland are probably going to need to get a big one or two to make up that 4 lb. deficit, as I expect McClelland will put together a 12 lb. limit or so at least.
I like to see my fellow townie McClelland in the lead. I see him on the Bella Vista lakes every year or so. But, I wonder how well he'll sleep tonight knowing, KVD, Amart and Davis are on his heels.
I bet The Rock is one busy lake today - nice weather, fans following the Elites, and throw in the weekend fishermen (for all species) and you'll have a bunch of boats out there. Fortunately It's a bit early for the water flea hatch, but there may be a few of them out there also.
I've pitched it around docks on TR, some days it is the bomb. Last summer it worked real well for me on rocky banks early in the morning. Awesome technique to have in the arsenal. Drag it and maintain bottom contact.
Mark Davis is now leading. But it's tight at the top, a lot of guys in contention.

Yep, one of those deals where you get a bite, set the hook, and then using your extra heavy flipping stick, and 65 lb. braid, reel in a big ball of weeds that has a bass hidden in there somewhere. Doesn't look like much fun to me, but to each his own.
