  1. Yeah let's hope they make some more, sounds like a great color. That Pond Scum perch Kut Tail worm sounds interesting, War Eagle has Pond Scum Perch as a jig skirt color and it works pretty well. I also like the purple/brown laminate for the Kut Tail for drop-shotting.
  2. There was a good topwater bite Monday when I fished the White river arm out of Big M. But I didn't hook anything big enough to win a big bass tourney, I was fishing gravel points, lots of fun, but probably not going to get you a winner. I'd probably do a lot of dock fishing, especially docks near spawning pockets. I'd also fish near beds, looking for those big females that have finished spawning but are in the deeper water near the beds. I would fish a creature bait, t-rigged, or jika rigged trying to imitate a bluegill.
  3. Sent them an email this weekend about that particular color - no reply so far.
  4. This tourney is a little more than a "fun" tournament, with a boat valued at $12,000 or thereabouts for the winners. I'm not sure of the law on this, but I believe that if someone who is caught cheating after winning could be subject to some sort of criminal prosecution. Not that I'm accusing anyone of cheating in this particular tourney.
  5. We are seeing some parity return to MLB, the Royals have some potentially good young players that haven't quite lived up to expectations, Hosmer and Moustakis are 2 I'm thinking of in that regard, but Hosmer has shown some signs of life this year, Moustakis is struggling. They've got a good young catcher and have him signed through 2019. Having followed the Bosox for my entire life, until they won a World Series in 2003, they caused a lot of misery among their fandom. 3 names come to mind that mentioned to any longtime Bosox fan will bring out the foul language - Bill Buckner, Bucky Dent, and Aaron Boone.
  6. Yep it's a good time of the year to be a fisherman, hard part is figuring out where to go because everything is good.
  7. Nice smallies, congrats!
  8. Cool, sounds like these will be pretty good maps.
  9. Launched early today, threw my first cast at 0600 and had my first bite on that cast. Good morning for topwaters, caught a couple of dozen on the topwaters and a half dozen or so on bottom dragging stuff (craws and Biffle Bugs). Around 8 or 9 keepers, but nothing over 2 lbs. Caught most of the fish off a couple of gravel points that were close together, fish were anywhere from 3 FW out to 20, chasing shad. Mostly spots, a couple of LM, and one meanmouth. Wind picked up and with the blue skies I was out of there by noon. Got 10 or so on the Yozuri before the hooks got torn up. The rest of the topwaters came on the Gunfish. And the meanie, he wanted that Gunfish, jumped over it and missed it, came back and slammed it again and got hooked.
  10. And they get swept by the Stinkees, disappointing...
  11. Thank for the report!
  12. Yep I agree on TW, great shipping policy. I did look there for grubs, but the colors and sizes I wanted were out of stock. You guys must be buying them all
  13. No matter how tasty those who eat bugs try and make it sound, I just could not eat one of these things. http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Cicadas-The-Shrimp-of-The-Land-206945321.html
  14. Tackle Warehouse has War Eagle football jigs on a daily special for $3.74 for a 2 pack. They've also got 3000 yard spools of Seaguar Abrazx, 8 and 10 # test for $114 for a spool- this is a really good price for this line.
  15. Something seems "fishy" (I couldn't help it)
  16. There's lots of room for some hanky-panky in these bass tournaments, I believe 98% of the participants are honest, but you've got that 2% that need to be closely watched.
  17. Stinkees won again last night, grrrrr...
  18. One of these days I'm going to fish that lake, thanks for the report!
  19. BPS is now offering free shipping on orders for fishing stuff over $25.
  20. I have never fished that color, but I'd be happy to shoot them an email asking them to make some 18-20-136, enough guys do it and maybe they'll run a batch, it would probably help if as part of the request that we make a commitment to buy X number of bags direct from GYCB.
  21. Do they do a lie detector test for the winners?
  22. 22lbs. is a heck of a bag for Beaver.
  23. Thanks for the report, glad to hear you guys got into them! I did a few laps around the Windsor dam yesterday afternoon for some exercise, talked to a guy that was loadind his boat, said he did real well on bluegill and redear.
  24. If you can't find the colors you want locally, you can always order them from the Yamamoto web site.
