  1. I had never seen the "Guy on a Buffalo" vids until yesterday, pretty funny stuff.
  2. This video has a great bluegrass like sound track. Warning:It's possible that the chorus will be replayed in your head all day. Also there is an appearance by a Mountain Lion.
  3. 9 lb. sockeye is very respectable for sockeye. What do you folks catch them on?
  4. I haven't seen skeeter one at Table Rock this year.
  5. Saw this poacher topic on another bass board, whoever that guy is, the whole fishing world is going to know about him.
  6. I thought you bee keepers built up an immunity to stings.
  7. Happy birthday! Very cool to have a birthday on the 4th.
  8. This topic is something we should be able to look at with a touch of humor.
  9. By the state of Washington. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/washington-state-gets-rid-sexist-language-162549523.html

According to the talking heads, there's a reasonable chance that Boston may trade Rondo, and with Boston hiring the Butler coach (can't think of his name right now) Pressey could get a reasonable shot on a young, rebuilding team.
  11. Nothing beats watching drunks waller in the mud, LOL.
  12. Thanks for taking the time to put that together.
  13. I hope this bite holds up until next week.
  14. Steve Martin/Edie Brickell just came out with a CD, I've only heard one song, but I liked it. Steve is the banjo player.
  15. Josh, talk to Phil, and ask him if he'll let you sell them on OA. Or I guess a person could PM you, if you're willing to make some up for sale. Also, you've got a lot of strands on the jigs you've got pictured - does that work well for you on TR? Just curious if you think they fish better, in general, than a finesse style jig with fewer strands.
  16. Why buy firecrackers when you can buy fishing tackle? Here's a link to an Arkansas based tackle site that is having a 20% holiday sale. Not quite the inventory of Tackle Warehouse, but some brands, Zoom for example, are well represented. Their regular prices on some items are amongst the lowest out there (Zoom). I don't have any affiliation with them except that they are an Arkansas based company. Free shipping over $50. http://www.tacklecenter.com/ Sale code: 4THOFJULY20
  17. Welcome to Ozark Anglers!
  18. Just looking at the generation table and it looks like they stopped generating for a while early in the AM. Maybe that had an effect on the White river channel fish this morning? There was almost constant generation, of varying intensity, for several days until this morning.
  19. Didn't Clint Eastwood star in a "Dirty Harry" movie named Sudden Impact?
  20. I didn't catch any bluegills, they were just nipping at the tail. But days like this make me think about buying some red worms and seeing if I can get some big gills. I might do a little fishing in the Bella Vista lakes later this week. And I hope you and yours also have a great holiday weekend! Also I hope all OA members have a great holiday weekend (and a safe one too).
  21. Biggest mistake I see the proponents making was not bothering to warn or educate the public. Some farmer picks up his Sunday paper and sees his farm is now in a "Blueway". That's not the way you want to let folks know about something like this. From one of the links above, it appears that the creators of this didn't even let the up river conservation groups in on this until it was announced. You have to let people in the effected area in on things beforehand and get their buyoff.
  22. Not much for me today, got 3 nice K's off my favorite point early on the Ol Monster, picked up a lone top water fish and then things got tough. Fished almost until noon and caught just 4 more bass and none of them looked to be over 12". Could not get them to bite the OI Monster that they loved so much last Thursday. Nothing on the drop shot, couple of bites on a jig, the only thing that "worked" for me was a Zoom Trick worm. Had a guy pull up to me and he said he got over 20 on a bank on the watermelon worm, he pointed out the bank to me, but I did not fish it, figuring if he caught that many there, he'd probably sore lipped them all. Water temp 79-80. Lots of ski boats. Quite a few bass fishers out there also. Bluegill are biting, they liked the Ol Monster. I think I'm done with the Rock until after this holiday weekend.
  23. I use Seaguar Invisx 6 lb. test, size 1 Gammie Drop shot hook, and a Zoom Finesse worm, I like Old Purple or Plum. Tie the hook on, point up, using a Palomar knot, leave about a 2 foot tag end to attach your weight. That being said, you'll probably get another 10 or so suggestions on different ways to set up, but that's what works for me. I have not done crawlers, but if you do, you'll probably be pretty busy with fish, all kinds of fish. I don't know what hook size to suggest with crawlers, or whether to use a whole one or pieces.
  24. I've had a couple of minor inconveniences lately waiting on water fleas to launch or untie from the dock. Latest one was a family of four parked in the middle of the ramp (it's a 2 lane ramp, but they still parked in the middle), while I was waiting they started applying sunscreen to each other. That was a first. Can't wait for the cold weather.
